Get a code reader to retrieve the code and go from there, it sounds like there might be a vacuum leak in the intake manifold

Testimonial: "tighten the intake manifold and couldn't detect any leaks. I sprayed the gasket edges with wd40 and could not detect any changes"

DO you have a vortex engine if so the intake is of 2pieces the upper is, I'll call plastic and where the injector wires plugs into the manifold it has a Orange or blue O-ring and if it doesn't seal it will suck air and cause the engine to act up,you can e-mail me at swaffken@comcast.net

2001 chevy tahoe. the fuel pressure regulator making alot of noise. it is a new regulator. the engine is stalling. could this be the cause if the stalling

Yes it could be the cause. Make sure you have a good engine vacuum signal to the fuel pressure regulator, I suggest you replace the vacuum hose as well as a poor vacuum signal from the engine will cause the regulator diaphragm to "vibrate" and be noisey, this plays heck with the fuel pressure and this may be why the stall.

My 2001 tahoe dies while idling in park. After waiting over night it started and ran fine until allowed to idle in park for a short time. This a 2001 Chevy Tahoe with a 5.3 liter engine and 160,000 miles.

If the only problem is idle and it runs grat above ide then the most likely component is the Idle Air Control valve. This is providing you have no codes stored indicating something else.

2001 Jaguar XJ8 Idles rough while sitting

o2 sensors often cause a rough idle at stand still. Previously my xj8 had crank case ventilation (pvc valve essentially) issues that caused the check engine w/ restricted performance. I noticed a severe drop in gas mileage as well. Jaguar dealer fixed my problems in a few hours and it was surprisingly cheap. Its worth taking it to advanced or auto zone to see what the computer says. Then decide if you want to shell out for a dealer fix or if you can tackle it yourself. BTW, just to justify myself this is my third jaguar. I have a '94 xj6 with a chevy 350 inside it, previously owned a 95 XJ6 and currently have the xj8. They are wonderful cars if you can put up with their rough times.
