I just had this same problem with a '96 . do you have a vats key in your '94? you need to bypass the VATS system. read some of the blogs on this site and it will tell you how to do it. I fixed mine with a $2 resistor from radio shack.

SOURCE: Hello accent 2004 with anti theft system battery flat anti theft

Have you verified this system is running the battery down? The system you describe is called the Remote Keyless Entry System (Electronic Time/Alarm & Control System - ETACS Module). It cannot be 'disconnected' without disabling other systems (intermittent wipers, Chime bell, Door Warning, Dimming Off Room Lamp, Seat Belt indicator, remote power door lock/unlock system, etc.)

I have a 2004 chevy Cavalier. I need to disable anti theft system. Car runs great but when I shut it off I cant restart it for 20 minutes. Anyone help me

apparently on this vehicle it is a very common problem. you are lucky to be able to start car even after 20 minutes. I believe that you have to hook up your vehicle to a tech 2 scan tool and turn off your anti theft system using this device through your OBDII. hope this helps

Car will not start

You probably can't.
If the anti-theft module is in the cluster, you would need the correct key chip for the car the cluster came out of.
You might be able to bypass the passkey system by running a wire to the fuel pump relay and other components.
You may need a shop manual to find the circuits.

NO, you will need to have Mr. Chop Shop fix it, or take it to a real mechanic and send him the bill.
