After finding out I need a knock sensor I'm learning that is becoming more complex what is the best way and where are the harnesses for the wiring on the relocation technique for the 97 Nissan Quest

You must remove the upper intake manifold (the sensors are under the manifold) on the engine, replace both sensors and the short sub wiring harnesses that goes to them from the main engine harness.

Should my Nissan Juke with 32,000 on it, just bought second hand, judder when I start it up. Its OK aprt from this annoying thing

My first guess...

If the start up instructions (USA ... I could NOT find) do NOT recommend a igniter warm-up period... you might want to just allow a long moment before hitting the starter...

Diesel engines run smoothly, reliably & economically if their igniters are treated properly...

If this is your first diesel... do the reading.

You & your engine will be happier.

Fault code p1650 and p651?

P651 is a referance code that is saying there is an open circuit on a sensor.
P1650 is to new for me to know for sure this is 2114 Nissan.
But it sounds like eighter an engine RPM problem or an MIL issue .
Likely some kind of a glitch the vehicle is two new must be under warranty take it to dealer it sounds like a mirnor problem

How do you replace a Nissan 350Z knock sensor?

The knock sensors (one for each cylinder head on the V6) are located on the inside of the cylinder heads, in order to replace them the upper intake manifold must be removed. It is always recommended on this engine family that not only replace the 2 knock sensors but that you also replace the short sub wiring harness to the knock sensors from the main engine harness as it is many times the a common cause of the knock sensor code(s) in the 1st place.

I can't find where the knock sensor location is on a 1997 nissan maxima

There are two knock sensors, one for each cylinder head and they are located in the cylinder heads underneath the lower intake manifold of the engine. When you replace then do so in pairs and also replace the short wiring harness to them from the main engine harness.
