SOURCE: peugeot 306 1.9d DW8 can you replace spring damper & 2 adjuster rollers with 1 single self adjusting roller as on HDI

Cannot honestly say as never done this particular job on a peugeot ,there again i might have and dont remember but a quick check here is to ask in the auto factor as they will know for sure as they supply the parts to the trade.

1998 Peugeot 406 2.1 litre diesel very hard to start

The symptoms you have given sound to me like the timing could be off. Could be crossed wires or improperly aligned timing gears during the replacement of the belt.

V-belt exchange on Peugeot 205 XL . I would like to know how to exchange the V-belt between alternator and engine belt pulley.

slacken off the bolts holding the alternator to the block, then push it towards the block, you will then be able to remove the belt and replace it.
lever the alternator away from the block to tighten belt(1/2 inch play on longest stretch)then do up the bolts and check free play again.DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN BELT.

Peugeot Expert Van Cambelt change

Most cam belts need to be changed every 60,000 miles. I would change again somewhere around 126,000.

Change power steering pump

There is a dynamic tensioner roller, which you need to release before you remove the belt. See the manual, may be it can help you.

Instruction to change cam belt on peugeot 307

If its DIY job then you can download the instructions i have uploaded for you (available for 45 days to download from today).

First of all you need to take off ancillary drive belt.
http://www.gigasize.com/get.php?d=ml20tdk87lf

then follow the instructions to change Cambelt.
http://www.gigasize.com/get.php?d=mb7lpdd4ctc

It is better if you change the tensioner roller and water pump when you change the cambelt as they are running under same belt and suffering the wear & tear as well.

"when do i change the cam belt on a peugeot 307 sw diesel"

usually you should do it for peugeot diesel at 122000 miles along with water pump and the tensioner roller that runs under the cambelt too. But to be on the safe side do it at 100000 and save the fortune.
It took me (DIY job) about 6-8 hours as i wanted to save 450 pounds.
