One of your vacuum hoses might have a hole or cut and this will not allow the door for the Fan to open. Check all your vacuum hoses at the engine.

SOURCE: NO HEAT IN 2002 ALTIMA

you may need ot do a cooling system flush, go buy a bottle of radiator flush, put it in the radiator when it is cold, run the car for about 15 mins, and go up to the car wash and take the upper rad hose off, and use the power washer to push all of the gunk and anti-freeze through the system. do it until it runs clean.... let the car run for 2 mins with the hose off after flushing and buy straight antifreeze, not 50/50. add it to the radiator, you should have heat.....

If this does not work, then your control unit in your dash may be bad....

SOURCE: Nissan Altima no cool air blowing or hot air blowing

Hi!
It appears we have an Air lock scenario and you will need to perform a system Bleed.
Park the vehicle on level ground, when cold remove coolant filler cap, start engine and leave to idle, turn heater on full and blower to max. When engine reaches operating temperature watch and listen near coolant filler, keep clear as gurgling and hopefully a boil over should occur. Top up with very warm coolant and wait as it may do it again.
Check for heat inside vehicle if warm replace coolant cap but keep an eye on temperature gauge as the ~Air lock may have moved on from heater matrix/core so proceedure needs to be carried out again from COLD.

Fan speed wont change speeds on heat or cold cycles

Sounds like the Blower Motor Resistor. The range from 10 to 75 dollars depending on what kind of vehicle. Pretty easy to change.

Heater doesnt blow heat and sometimes works but only on high setting

This depends on what type of heat it is and what you are heating. If it is your car's heating then you have to wait for the car to warm up before hot air blows out.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sounds like the blower resistor module needs to be replaced. Could also be the switch.

Chevy Suburban 2001, rear heat works, front heat does not, blower works but no hot air. Also, A/C just stopped working also

If no air is blowing. The resistor is blown. If that is the case check your cabin air filters. When they are clogged or dirty that’s when the resistor blows. There are two cabin air filters in the same compartment change both.

2002 Nissan Altima - Heat doesn't get hot and doors get stuck

Did the switch break because it was stuck? If so, then yes, they will have to change actuators and doors. Does the fan work on all speed setting? If so then you do not need a blower resistor. The resistor pack only controls the current flow to change speeds of the fan.

Heating Problem w/2000 Plymouth Breeze.

Sounds exactly like what my mom's car was doing as for the blower only working on high. It was the resistor... I assumed it was the climate controls and replaced them but it didn't change anything then i thought that i must be the blower motor and replaced that too but it turned out to be the resistor which is under the dash on the passenger side of the car.
