Question about 2005 Infiniti G35
This is my first sign of this problem, but in resaerch it sounds like a common issues with the g35. The bose stereo is draining the audio finisher circuit board which controls both the stereo and the a/c controls. Volountary service campaign ITB03-007B. Both the board and the Stereo must be replaced but in some cases the issue has returned in a couple of months.Should this be covered by Infiniti? Is this the real issue? Should i just replace the stereo with a different unit ie: Best Buy.
Any advice appreciated.

This is a stereo we see in shop for repair on a regular basis, see www.carstereohelp.com for repair. However, I have one suggestion before thinking of repair. Disconnect one of the main car battery terminals for several minutes. This is much easier then removing and reinstalling the stereo in this car. This may act as a reset and bring the changer back. Otherwise, repair is needed.

i just fixed this problem - the switch is bad - take out the seat - 4 bolts on the bottom 4 corners and then remove the whole switch - either buy a new one around $200 or unsauter the switch and clean it but be careful as there are a lot of parts inside that can fall out. i cleaned mine and it works fine beats spending the money.

SOURCE: Infiniti G35 speakers don't work
03 and 04 G35 vehicles had a Technical Service Bulletin issued regarding the audio circuit board. No sound was one of the symptoms of a faulty circuit board. There was a design flaw with the boards on the early model G35's that was corrected in 05.The audio units on those cars consisted of three pieces, the radio itself, which is just a silver box, a circuit board that attaches to the front of the radio and then the outer display. I would suggest contacting a dealership service dept. with your VIN number in hand, and ask if the circuit board has been replaced. Even if it has, It will still more than likely be the problem. It's either that or the radio
