The good old, we SECOND GUESS stealerships, question.
wow, none of that can be decoded.
1: does car drive ok (job 1, drive) yes/no?

2: no heat what does that mean, engine fails to reach 180f more and hold there? or does no heat mean only my HVAC heater is dead.?????????????????????????????????????????
why must a helper have to answer this?

if car drives ok, say so.
the say the dash heater is dead. and say only THAT is problem
or you will get lies, and wrong answers or off the wall guessing.
its not us, its you.
to get help
tell all things that work or do not work right.
drives ok
lights all work ,none dim
does the cluster CEL lamp glow
are there funny noises.
are there warning lamps on
do all accessories work radio et cetra.
if all works but the dash heater fails (HVAC) say that.

If cylinder head gasket blown --can have coolant being burnt and cause low fluid levels low or no fluid =no heat as well as overheating and can eventually blow the engine

My 2002 Jeep Liberty 3.7 don't throw me heat only cold air

There is something called a blend door in the heater box. This door is what moves to change from cold air to warm air. The part is 86 dollars online. http://www.factorychryslerparts.com/products/JEEP/LIBERTY/ACTUATOR-Blend-Door-AC-and-Heater/4341513/05066519AA.html

I have a jeep liberty 2002 changed radiator heater core back flushed at jeep dealer heater works for a while really hot and sometime itj just starts blowing cold air suggestion jeep dealer said sceen keep...

What does your radiator fill tank look like? When is the last time you changed radiator fluid? If you have an oil leak into the radiator, combination produces a jelly like substance that may be what blocks the screen. You may need a radiator flush and refill.

My Wife's care overheats and the heater only blows out cold air.

check that the thermostat is in correctly as it will cause no circulation but overheating. have a compression test done to eliminate head gasket /cracked head. There could be a blockage in the heater core but I am thinking that by passing the heater fan he has also by passed the actuator( coolant valve) for the heater core. Water pumps suffer from bad bearings and very seldom anything else. check that he hasn't blocked off the water to the heater core as well
the throwing back of the coolant is the boiling of the coolant in the block ( bad head gasket) due to lack of circulation. It may be a blocked radiator as flushing doesn't fix the blocked cores . If that is the case a new radiator is in order.

99 jeep cherokee no heat but blower working

now there are several thing you need to check( since you know the blower and vents are working) start the jeep. let it warm up, sorry to do this to you, but turn on the heater. under the hood are two hoses going to the heater core, by the blower. after the jeep has warmed up, and heater running for about 2 minutes, check to see if either hose got warm or hot. If yes, bad heater core. if no, then the control valve that allows hot coolant to the heater core is bad. you can trace it if you follow the line to the engine, it is connected to a valve, and valve needs to be replaced( you can get it at the auto parts store). hope this helps you

Why does my 02 Jeep Liberty blow out cold air at an idle & warm air only while driving?

Hello mcebbie.
From the symptoms you describe it is a restriction in the heater core or the hoses.
At idle the water pump is turning slowly and has less pressure and flow.
As your engine speeds up so does the water pump and it flows more heated coolant through the core.
Check for a pinched line in and out of the heater core. If they appear OK you may need the core flushed or replaced.
I hope your repair goes well for you.

Thank you for using FixYa.

99 jeep cherokee problem w/ heat I replaced the blower motor, water pump, radiator, thermostat and flushed the coolent system. Still getting little heat. I'm thinking heater core or head gasket... Is there...

It sounds like the heater coil needs flushing out or replacing or the heater valve. Look on the engine firewall and make sure the heater valve is opening. If not open it manually and check the heat level. If that produced heat check the condition of the heater vale cable (or vaccum hose).

2002 LIBERTY OVERHEATING:

do you have a "check engine" light on? A bad temp sensor would give a wrong reading. Do you get heat from your heater core? Also make sure you are getting a good flow from catalytic converter and muffler so you know they aren't plugged heating up engine temp. Also make sure all your heat shields are in tact. Are you using 50/50 mix or mostly water? Though in cold temps you normally want to use more antifreeze less water, I would try more water, less antifrezze.

2002 jeep liberty has very little or no heat also overheats in warm weather changed water pump and thermostat also had system flushed

sounds like a head gasket problem. A minor leak there will pump compression into coolant and force it out of heater core. Any unusual steaming from tail pipe? Also: if radiator was flushed "in car" sometimes debris does not come out. Try flushing with it out of the vehicle. Jeep radiators are notoriously small for their application if not at at least 90% they will not work correctly.I'd look at the hg first though otherwise, your symptoms seem to be contradictory.
