Is it coming out of the radiator cap or from the fins itself ? If from cap, replace cap and if from fins replace radiator.
Can pressure test to verify.

it indicates a head gasket / cracked head problem and the water is being pushed up by a build up of compression gasses
a compression test is in order

Hi Mark, I've just had the same problem with my 2007 Sante Fe. After replacing water pump, radiator, thermostat, etc, turns out it was the cylinder head gasket. No water in oil, but engine pressurises the water system, blowing water out the overflow. Cheers

2004 sante fe coolant leak on top of trans housing


There is a metal coolant crossover tube with 5 gaskets 2 hoses and a thermostat above the transaxle anyone or all of these could be leaking

I have a 04 sante fe 2.7l 4 cylinder.The problem is the radiator cooling fansare not coming on,even once the engine has warmed up past the half way mark on the guage.The car has been overheating...


There is a cooling fan switch normally located near the thermostat housing or in the head near the thermostat housing. check this and see if it is defective.

Hii!!!! have you change the water pump?? ok some water pumps have the propeler in oposite direccion get one o just call to the dealer about this tipe of water pump.make sure when you call have ready the engine size. model year . and date factory made
