Question about Ford Cars & Trucks
The instrument cluster on you vehicle has a microprocessor inside and it is in control of anti-theft . The control side of the start interrupt relay is hooked to the instrument cluster electrical connector (pin 10 ) on the back of the instrument cluster . If there are no anti-theft system problems the logic inside the instrument cluster with supply a ground to that pin , there by energizing the relay , creating a magnetic field closing the load side contacts inside the relay sending B+ voltage to the starter solenoid . This will cause the starter to spin the engine over there by starting the engine . There are videos on youtube showing how a relay works , if you don't know !
