Fan won't turn off


If the vehicle is equipped with dual climate control system ir : seperate temperature control for the passenger and driver and the speed is non-adjustable then the issue is with the high speed control relay module. This is under the right passenger compartment and located behind the blower motor slightly to the left and has 6 or 7 pin connector. They are typically called blower motor resistors. the factory blower speed contro; module is held to the heater control box using plastic welds so there is a need for 2 8 millimeter self taping screws when replacing the unit. The unit (module) cost is roughly $48.00 at AutoZone and is not very difficult to replace.

Put new batteries in the thermistate , replace switch to emergency heat on module .

ABS control module / pump continues running when truck is turned off, drawing higher amps while truck is running.


l am sure this is not a servicable unit,l would run a diagnostic check first and if needs be change the whole unit...Good-luck...(P.S it won`t be cheap)

The driver's side heated seat won't turn off on my 2003 Mecury Moutaineer. Also, how do I change my cabin filter?


Your vhicle build date is on a blue sticker on the driver door or door frame. If not there, check other doors.
The heated seat Module is under the seat. You can unplug the connector on it or the heated seat switch to shut it off. I supect the module is bad. get one used from car-parts.com. The cabin air filter is under the leaf screen at the base of the windshield. Remove wiper arms and leaf screen for access. Please rate, thanks. NOTE: Two heated seat modules are used, one for vehicles built up to 03/2002 and one for vehicles built 03/2002 onward. The modules are not interchangeable.
The driver and passenger heated seats share a common battery and ignition feed. A shared ground source supplies the heated seat control switches. When the heated seat control switch is pressed with the ignition switch in RUN or START, a momentary ground signal is sent to the heated seat module. The heated seat module then supplies power to the heating element circuit. The cushion element and seat backrest element are wired in series and powered by the same output. The heated seat module also will ground the separate indicator circuit at the dual automatic temperature control (DATC) module display panel to indicate an ON state. The heated seat module will remain on until the heated seat control switch is pressed and a momentary voltage signal is received, or until 10 minutes expire. If the ignition source is removed from the module, the heated seat module will enter an OFF state and will not return to ON until the switch is once again pressed with the ignition switch in RUN. The heated seat module is designed to heat the seat to 37.5?C (99.5?F) and maintain the temperature until time-out or switched off. This temperature is maintained by the heated seat module monitoring the temperature sensor located in the seat cushion element, and adjusting the current flow to the heating elements.

Sometimes my windshield wipers work and sometimes they won't on my 1994 chevy lumina van. I tried bypassing the switch but It won't do anything. What is the problem?


This is a common GM problem. The issue lies in the control module which is the black cover on the driver's side of the firewall under the hood. The replacement kit for these run between $35 and $55 depending on where you purchase them. the remanufactured units are just as good. They come with 3 new Torx head screws, the circuit/relay board, di electric grease for the connector and a new cover. Takes about 3 minutes to change. Lincoln mark 8, a/c was working, then kept starting and stopping now dead, compressor works, fan wont blow, even on vent or heat....where is the fuse/relay for this or what else could it be?


It is the blower motor,or the blower relay module,near the blower motor,and check the ac/heat control unit,if the blower ,and relay module turn out to be good.

Is what they refer to as an ignitor a coil module on a 1993 ford laser


The igition module is also refered to as the igniter. The module is the control unite that takes the information as to the location of the crankshaft to timing assembly. It synchronizes the two and tells the distributor when to fire the pulse to the spark plugs. These units are prone to failure and need to be isnstalled with lots of dielectric grease (between the module and the mounting location) which acts as a heat sink. Hope this helps.

2003 yukon denali---relay locate for blower


the relay is built into the speed resistor or motor control module ) depends if you have automative or manual heater controls. is automatic it will be motor control module and manual is the resistor module. these units are located beside the heate fan motor. the motor helps keeps the unit cool. just unbolt the module, unplug it and install new one. Just check to make sure the connector is good.. The heat created by the connection sometimes melts the power or ground leads (red or black) and if this is so you will need to replace the pin.
