SOURCE: i have got volvo s60

a popoff valve that is faulty and leaks, a bad oil flow to its shaft, a faulty MAF, a bad throttle sensor - a lot can cause rpm fluctuation. You will need to check them all.

How can you determine if your oil leak is coming from your turbo on a 2002 volvo s60

Do you have a external leak or does your engine oil drop but you can not see a leak. My S60 had a leak and it was from the return pipe from the turbo to the sump. You can remove the belly plate and look from the bottom at the back off the engine. You will see the return pipe at the bottom of the turbo. If it does not leak at the there the turbo might be worn and it is blowing the oil into the intake. To check remove the intake hose and check for excess oil in the intake system.

Turbo oil leak into engine

if the turbo is leaking oil into the engine then you have an internal engine problem. the turbo works off of the engines exhaust , therefore if oil is getting back into the intake from the turbo then it is coming from the exhaust. posible worn piston rings or bad valve seals. it also could be a bad turbo bearing and seals letting engine oil leak into the turbo from the turbo oil lines from the engine and blowing back into the intake.

2000 VW new Beetle uses a lot of oil, but has no leaks, oil fouls sparkplugs

Do you have the turbo model? If so you could have a bad turbo. You may also have bad valve seals or piston rings. If you have a turbo you can remove the hose or pipe off of the outlet side of your turbo between the turbo and the intake manifold. If there is oil in it your turbo is leaking and will need repaired.

2002 s60 volvo whistles when car is running if i remove the oil cap whistling stops

The PCV valve may be plugged causing normally removed crankcase pressure to be pushed out of the oil cap. Replace the valve.

Oil leak on top front of 2002 f350 super duty diesel engine

if it's a diesiel the it's coming from your oil line to your turbo. if it is gas then it could be a leak coming from a leaking valve cover gasket.

2001 Volvo s40 oil leaking in turbo, smokes white smoke and turbo not kicking in. I have a new head, timing belt waterpump, oxygen sens. valve job, cam pulley all changed. It is still smoking and no turbo....

Water in combustion chamber makes white smoke--suspect that the head gasket is leaking water into the chamber. If oil leaking around turbo, it may have a bad bearing and bad oil seal. Check waste gate valve and control.
