What coul possbly cause scrubbing nose at right from wheel on 2004 dodge Dakota

Most likely is a problem with the brakes like worn out disk brake pads now making metal to metal dragging between the disk and caliper. take it to a brake shop and have it checked, because it is unsafe to drive if it is this issue.

My 2005 ford explore is making a grinding sound in front driver side. sounds like something is rubing wat could this problem be

it could be the wheel bearing if it changes pitch ( the noise changes ) when you turn left or right at highway speeds not touching the brake pedal it more then likely its the drivers side wheel bearing . This is if you have already check the brakes to make sure they are not metal to metal , check the brake pads first.then do the test i just talked about.

Grinding noise in driver side front wheel.

You either have a bad wheel bearing, or a bad brake pad. Does it do this only when you apply the brakes, or making turns, or is it continues. If its only while using the brakes, most likely the brake pads are worn. If it only does this while making turns, may be wheel bearing. Remove the front driver wheel and inspect the brake pad liners. check the thickness of the pads, make sure the pads are not metal to metal. to check the wheel bearing, while wheel is still on the car, put the front of car on jack stands, while wheel is off the ground spin the wheel and listen for any noise that sounds like the sound it was making while driving. If it makes this noise, you then can take a steel tube about 3 to 5 feet long, put it under the wheel and lift up and down on the wheel, and notice if it has any movement or play as you lift it up and down, if it moves, then likely its the wheel bearing.

Brakes on 1998 windstar appear to work fine and then when i am about stopped they make a grinding noise, catch and stop immediately. any ideas?

sound like the brake pads got into your brake rotors. you should find out which side make the noise and take that wheel off to inspect your brakes.

96 Ford Windstar van passenger side wheel thumps when hot.

Your right, its not safe to drive in this condition, sounds like tire is strarting to seperate, but for the life of me, couldn't tell you why when only hot. Take it to a tire shop and see what they say.

either you have a caliper that has locked up and worn brakes down or it is just the metal that is in your pads making that noise. does it pull to either side when driving?
