SOURCE: 4 wheel drive wont swich back to 2 wheel drive

After reading some of the fixes here and on other forums,i bought a vacuum actuator and a transfer case switch. My mechanic came to fit these today, replaced the actuator and it didnt do anything.Turned out the old one was o.k..He couldnt find where the case switch went ,so he started tracing the vacuum pipes.
Guess what? he found not one ,but two broken pipes.he replaced/shortened these and hey presto,i now have 2,4 hi,4low and auto all working again.
It may be worth checking the vacumm pipes before buying other parts.
Just a thought...........

SOURCE: i have a 2001 dodge

If the transmission is full of fluid, then the lock up solenoid is bad or the filter needs to be replaced & have the bands adjusted, or the speed sensor isnt calibrated due to over size tires

Dodge charger wont go over 35 mph

I have a 2007 Dodge Charger won't go over 35-40 mph and once you get up to that speed it jumps back and forth and when you start it and put it in gear to go it jumps real hard. My mechanic and a transmission specialist said it was a bad tranny I bought a used tranny and the used one wouldn't even shift into gear so now putting another tranny and another computer system in it. Does anyone know anything else it could be I'm so tired of this vehicle

Cruise stop working. employee driving van stated that the tackometer and speedermeter started jumping back and forth. could this be a fuse problem for the cruise? other thought about the electronic...

Keep in mind what fuses do. They open and shut off current/voltage when a circuit is over loaded. So, no, if things are jumping as you say, they have power. Yes it is electrical or electronic ,including voltage regulator, sensors, ground connections etc, depending on your vehicles specific system design.

Vehical makes noise from the power steering, but

Try to bleed all air from the power steering system:raise the front of the vehicle off the ground just until the tires are off the ground, start the engine, make sure the fluid is at the proper level, while engine is idleing turn the steering wheel from lock to lock in both directions( do not hold at full lock for more than a second) repeatedly,at a average turning speed back and forth about 10 to 15 times, shut engine off, lower vehicle, check fluid level once again, take out for test drive for at least 10 to 15 minutes,if noise is still present then it's time to replace the power steering pump.Good luck!
