After having a new clutch fitted in my Toyota Condor the engine management light comes on after driving a short distance. ie the revs are up

Go to any auto parts store (AutoZone, Advance, O'Reilys...) and ask them to "pull the code" for you (with an OBD2 reader), only takes 5 mins. Once you know why the CEL (check engine light) is on, then you can assess whether to fix it yourself or take it to a mechanic.

TOYOTA CONDOR 2RZ IS OVER HEATING WHAT IS THE PROBLEM

Hi I have a 2005 stallion panel van ... same as condor also 2l petrol. Also had some heating issues here is my experience. It could be 1. malfunction viscose fan 2. broken thermostat 3. blocked or worn radiator 4. Water pump seal leak or corroded or loose impeller. 5. blown cylinder head gasket 6. cracked cylinder head.
In my case the water pump was leaking slowly as a result of the inner seal creating an airlock in the water system which in turn releases the pressure in the system and lowers the boiling point of your coolant.. If this is the problem you would find that with periodic checks your system will need some water. Look on top of the pump behinf the pulley is a hole which looks somewhat like a missing bolt. This hole will drip water if the inner seal has gone. Look for a telltale sign that water has run out of this hole like a sediment line from the hole down the side of the pump. If so replace the pump there is no other repair even if the rest of the pump eg bearings look and feel perfect. Just a hint for this job the radiator needs to come out and all the belts off etc. so while the coolant is out replace all the belts and thermostat. Thermostat housing is on the right side of the engine just follow the water hose. Hope this helps. Good luck. Ernest
