Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Where is a knock sensor at an a pontiac grand am 1996

On most cars they screw into the engine block about half way up one side or the other. Parts stores have a location chart which may help, or you could break down and buy a shop manual which will help you for years to come.

Where is the flasher located on a 2008-2010 Dodge Crand Caravan?

Go to Autozone.com, register for free and enter your vehicle information-year, make, model, & engine size. Vehicle-specific repair guides are available, as well as component locations. It should show where to locate the flasher. Usually on older vehicles, the flasher is by itself under the dash. Newer ones often incorporate the turn signal flasher with the hazard flasher.

How any oxygen sensors are on a 1999 grand cherokee laredo 4.0 & were is it/they located?

On Grand Cherokee oxygen sensor locations for 4.0 and 4.7 engines, check this diagrams...

The Oxygen Sensors (O2S) are attached to, and protrude into the vehicle exhaust system. Depending on the emission package, the vehicle may use a total of either 2 or 4 sensors.

Federal Emissions Package (4.0L and 4.7L engines):
Two sensors are used: upstream (referred to as 1/1) and downstream (referred to as 1/2). With this emission package, the upstream sensor (1/1) is located just before the main catalytic convertor. The downstream sensor (1/2) is located just after the main catalytic convertor.

California Emissions Package (4.0L engine):
On this emissions package, 4 sensors are used: 2 upstream (referred to as 1/1 and 2/1) and 2 downstream (referred to as 1/2 and 2/2). With this emission package, the rear/upper upstream sensor (2/1) is located in the exhaust downpipe just before the rear mini-catalytic convertor. The front/upper upstream sensor (1/1) is located in the exhaust downpipe just before the front mini-catalytic convertor. The rear/lower downstream sensor (2/2) is located in the exhaust downpipe just after the rear mini-catalytic convertor, and before the main catalytic convertor. The front/lower downstream sensor (1/2) is located in the exhaust downpipe just after the front mini-catalytic convertor, and before the main catalytic convertor.

California Emissions Package (4.7L engine):
On this emissions package, 4 sensors are used: 2 upstream (referred to as 1/1 and 2/1) and 2 downstream (referred to as 1/2 and 2/2). With this emission package, the right upstream sensor (2/1) is located in the right exhaust downpipe just before the mini-catalytic convertor. The left upstream sensor (1/1) is located in the left exhaust downpipe just before the mini-catalytic convertor. The right downstream sensor (2/2) is located in the right exhaust downpipe just after the mini-catalytic convertor, and before the main catalytic convertor. The left downstream sensor (1/2) is located in the left exhaust downpipe just after the mini-catalytic convertor, and before the main catalytic convertor.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

How do i change right turn lamp in my 2004 pontiac grand prix

Answer remove the headlight assembly and the bulbs are located below the Assembly to remove headlamp assembly and access signals: -open the hood
-while pushing rearward on the headlamp, pull up half-way on the (white)plastic retaining clip on the electrical connector - align the square cut-out on the retaining clip with the notch on the headlamp
-pull the headlamp assembly straight out from the vehicle (moving the headlamp up and down slightly may help with its removal)
-locate the front turn signal, parking lamp and foglamp bulbs which are located below the headlamp assembly (turn/parking lamp on top and the fog lamp is below it)
-turn the bulb socket 1/4 turn counterclockwise to remove it from assembly
-pull the old bulb from the socket and replace it with a new one
-turn the bulb socket a 1/4 turn clockwise to reinstall it
-reinstall the headlamp assembly carefully so you dont scratch the paint
-push down on (white)plastic retaining clip on the electrical connector while pushing rearward on the headlamp making sure headlamp is secure.

Fan does not run

I guess I better ask you a couple of ?'s before going any further here - as I'm not getting back any feedback at all as to what I posted previously.

No past history - no past to present attempted fixes - no troubleshooting feedback.....

The reason I say this is because now you are saying > We are being told that it is the PCM that is causing the fan not to work.

This has me asking - WHO is telling you that the Powertrain Control Module is supposedly bad? By WHO I mean - Jeep dealership - auto repair garage - your friend - who?

I need to know what steps you took to get to this new revelation point - as to the fan supposedly not working?

Please be very specific, and not just a 1 or 2 line reply - as that won't help me pinpoint the problem at all. After all - you have the SUV there (wherever you are located state/city wise), and I don't.

Also - do you have the/a service manual (Haynes or Chilton Auto Manual for your year & make Jeep)?

When I get your feedback we can proceed forward.

Thanks,

Frank
