Of course it won't be
transmission oil is mineral oil and brake fluid is vegetable base oil
no connection between the two systems
if you have been putting transmission oil in the brake or clutch systems, the rubbers will be expanded and n blocking all the holes and hoses

Readers note that brake fluid is moderately toxic

  • Bill Boyd Dec 07, 2016

yes Geoff, I suppose I should have put that in the answer now that I read it again
for reader information ---brake fluid is vegetable based oil with a large amount of toxic additives to control boil point temperature, lubricate the moving parts resist foaming, maintain viscosity in extreme temperatures with an additive that will remove paint from ant part that it is allowed to remain on
It is hygroscopic, that means that it absorbs moisture from the atmosphere so replacement from opened containers should not be used as the moisture absorbed lowers the boiling point of the fluid , turns to steam and fails the brakes immediately with the steam going to gas and putting air in the system
so bluntly put--IT IS NOT FOR HUMAN OR ANIMAL CONSUMPTION IN ANY FORM OR USE

I cannot bleed the clutch on my kia caranvil

First lets make sure we are on the same page here.Your saying you have no clutch resivioir and the system is feed from the brake master cylinder correct .Now the clutch has two clylinders the master witch atteches to the clutch pedal with the rod and it mounted on the fire wall . The slave cylinder is mounted between the bell houseing and the engine . And to replace this you would need to remove the transmission and actualy moves the pressure plate springs back when the pedal is depressed . Think of it like a light its eighter on or off and pushing the pedal down turns it off Normaly the clutch would be bleed at the slave cylinder there should be a bleeder fitting near the top of the bell hoseing. And should be bleed just a brake line no trick you just have to find the bleeder . Check for fluid at the clutch master on the pedal if you see any oil at all leaking you will never be able to keep it bleed sometimes there bad even when new .If oil can get out air is GETTING IN and it will constantly need to be rebleed. Any questions fell free to ask

2000 kia sportage clutch works sometimes

The master cylinder only gets low if there is a leak. Your slave cylinder or the master cylinder is leaking. Look under dash were the petal pushed the master cylinder to see if fluid is coming out. Then look at the slave cylinder under the car. It is bolted to the right side of the transmission bell housing. May have to pull rubber boot back on it to check for fluid leakage.

Losing brake fluid(2001 kia sportage)

Check the rear wheel cylinders if you have drum brakes on the rear. Check the master cylinder cap to be sure it's on right & snug. Use D.O.T. 3 fluid, not synthetic. If you're losing fluid there's a reason. Check the front brake pads & slides for the calipers, could be frozen with rust & eating up the pads. Fluid would seem low if the pads are shot.
