TSB 08-9-7 says to reprogram powertrain control module to latest calibration IDS release B54.8and higher or B55.1 or higher. This has been an issue for some time now.

Go to a major auto parts store and have them read out the stored trouble code(s). They will do it for free. With the code, you can start to trouble shoot what is wrong.

first check the coolant then the thermostat may need replacing. other than seeing the problem this would be my first step

No solution. Just got the EXACT same issue last weekend. myfordfreestyle notes said to remove air intake and clean throttle body with basic tb cleaner. seemed to help, but getting some more engine reving during routine shift into park situations.

Any ideas out there? =H
