you didn't specify which motor you have,, here are the normal Mazda firing orders The firing order fot the 1.6 four cylinder is 1-3-4-2. The direction of rotation is counter clock-wise. Hope this helps. For the v6 its 1-2-3-4-5-6, also counter clock-wise. Easy enough.

If is $ Cylinders 1-3-4-2, locate the cylinder Number one on the distributor than spin the motor and look which way the rotor turns follow it by 1 next 3 next 4 next 2

Cylinder order


The firing order on all four cylinder engines is 1.3.4.2. and number one cylinder is at the opposite end of the engine to the gearbox, at the end with the belts and pulleys.
