A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

My 2004 x5 starts then dies we didnt have any problems before this happened infact we just had $4000.00 worth of work done on it

Return to where the $4K of work was done and suggest that the "mechanic" who signed off on the job go back and find what repair was done wrong.

Radiator leaking antifreeze after head gasket was replaced

If this was done by a mechanic repair shop, return the car for repair. I assume this was done under their warranty period.

Drive cycle

Do not need a drive cycle for every
type of repair
Drive Cycles are not done by the owner
They are done buy the shop that made the
repair,as you have to look up that info & road
test to do it,before returning returning the vehicle
& confirming the repair
Computers are not reset, you only clear all data
that doesn't do anything as far as the way the vehicle

Reset drive cycle

Drive Cycles have to be looked up in
Ford Factory Work Shop Manuals,
or similar data base at a repair shop

Drive Cycles seldom have to be done
because of a repair & not all repairs

They are never done by the vehicle owner

If a shop tells you that --- they failed to make
the proper repair or understand how to do it

With the exception of the newer Euro Cars,
there are not may things called a Reset

1999 Ford Escort drive cycle for e test

Depends what kind of repair was done, and if it was done right!
The computer wont reset by itself ALL the time!
If the CEL is still on, I would say unhook the battery for about 2 minutes(Negative cable, that will reset your computer). Then if the CEL comes back on either the repair was'nt performed properly, or something else is wrong!

Cruise control does not work

If you have not had the recall done, you need to contact a ford/lincoln dealer to get it done or looked at-even if you did have it done, I'd get them to look at it because it is a known fire hazard-they will look at it for nothing, and repair it if the recall has not been done or fix it if it has been done and the repair caused the problem. This is a serious issue, it can actually catch fire when parked, and has been the cause of a lot of damage.

Steering wheel is very loose

It's probably not the steering wheel its self ,but the tilt wheel Assembly allowing the steering wheel and upper bowl Assembly to move around..This is a tough repair for the do-it yourself-er as several special tools are required to perform this repair, The good news is if you take it to a qualified repair shop they can repair this with out needing any parts. to repair this properly they have to gain access to the upper bowl bolts, remove them one at a time and reinstall them with thread locker on them so they will not work their way loose again, then reinstall the removed parts..Ihave probably done a hundred of these over my career If they know what their doing it can be done in about 1 hour Good Luck hope this Helps

Wobbly steering column on 1989 Chevy Silverado 2WD

It is rather complex but it can be done at home. It will also require special tools. The haynes manuals do cover this repair I believe.

Fuel system recall

a carfax will show excatly what the dealer saystem says that it has been done.. if you see the reinforcements on the rail then it has been completed.. the other one is the floor shifter interlock rod.... have any dealer run the vin number again they can tell you the date and dealer that did the repairs.... if he ever took it in for any type of service at the dealer even a oil change they have to repair it at no charge maybe he just dont remember it getting done.. the wife or family member may have used the car... but once you have the date and dealer that did it work it may help jog some memory..if the rail is leaking and the repairs are shown to have ben done you can purchase the repair parts on your own from a dealer CADJ7902 is the rail package..

After recently hitting a dog and having repair work done, my CEL is on and the code is reading P1131. What does this mean?

The P1131 is generally an indication of an issue with the O2 sensor. Since you mentioned having some repair work done, it could be the sensor is unplugged or that the wiring has been damaged in some way or it could be that even the sensor itself has gone bad.
