No year?
my guess, is you want to know how the auto clear feature works.
for autoclearing the DTC errors stored by OBD2 PCM.
the FSM covers that, each error, has its own runs. (cycles)
here are the rules. on topic, clearing them.

  1. push reset on the scan tool,
  2. pull the PCM memory fuse. for 5min.
  3. pull battery neg. lug for ,5min,
  4. drive them off, (per the books rules.
The SM is here, service manual and is only $4 to read it.
and is the official book not clone or store rag, idle promises

posted 100s of times.

there is lots more on OBD2, but I'll stop here.

I need the drive cyle for a 2004 Suzuki Forenza

Drive Cycles--are in expensive factory service manuals-- you can buy

They are also in the same format & part of a subscription repair shops have on the computer

Drive Cycles- ARE NOT your responsibility, nor really safe in
some cases, for you to do,you need a open piece of road with
little traffic, where you can go from 35 to 60 mph

You pay for a repair or what ever was required to correct a vehicle
problem, & the shop does the drive cycles

You paid for that & didn't get it, nor a vehicle you can now use

IF -- a drive cycle is needed- it is done by the shop that made the repairs- to confirm the repair corrected the problem

It would not at all surprise me, that some shops have no idea what
a drive cycle is, nor the info to look it up

Suzuki 2007 forenza drive cycle

In addition to redline's answer, you should drive the car in both highway and city type traffic for that 50-100 miles. The engine needs to be at normal operating temp during the drive and it can be done in stages or all in one trip.

Was your issue the range selector switch (a.k.a. range sensor, prindle switch, park/neutral safety switch). Part # 37720-86z01?

It is located on the outside of the transmission on the front side (not between the transmission and the firewall). You can open the hood and put an eye on it.

Be VERY sure to alignment it properly AND to clear the code.

If this helps, please say so!
