What size socket fits 2007 Pontiac torrent automatic transmission fill plug or bolt

That's it in the pic? Kind of hard to gauge the bolt size from the picture. It must be metric, though. My guess, it looks like a 17 mm socket or wrench would fit. 15, 17, 18, or 19 mm, those are probably the choices. Don't you or a friend have wrenches or sockets that you could try?

The socket will not stay on keeps falling off

Don't know what type/size socket...do you need a "deep well socket"? this allows for a taller bolt head...also does an open end wrench/box wrench fit over the bolt? Are you lubricating with PB Blastor spray to loosen corroded bolts?

Free answer "93 Lexus head bolt torque

it means that after the initial torque setting of 25 ft/lbs you put the torque wrench away and use a socket and bar to move the head of the bolt the required number of degrees as per the angle gauge that you will fit over the head of the bolt
so select the first hard stud and torque to 25 ft/lbs
repeat this to all the other head studs in the pattern required to achieve even tightening of the head
put the torque wrench away and fit the angler meter (gauge) on the 1 st stud and tighten to 60 degrees as indicated on the gauge
repeat the process for all the head studs as per the tightening sequence
then start again and tightened again another 60 degrees and so on
modern engines use degrees to achieve the correct stretch of the bolts to get the prescribed crush on the gaskets
this is because engineers found that dry threads , dirty threads and dirty stud holes do not give repeatable tensions on all studs.

What the best way to remove seized head bolts

First try bashing the bolt head straight downwards. This may loosen the corrosion in the threads. Take care not to hit surrounding structures.

Next try a large impact wrench (you can hire them) with a high strength socket which is a good fit. Take care the wrench is set to run in the undo direction.

Hello: There should be a 10mm bolt head that holds a clip. This clip keeps the speed sensor in place. Use a 10 mm wrench, socket to remove bolt/screw.

What tools do I need to replace the rotors on my 1995 Olds Cutlass Supreme

You will probably need some wrenches and allen wrenches to remove the brakes. A C clamp to compress the brake calipers when you go to put them back on. A pair of pliers to remove the retainer washer if there is one where the rotor fits over your wheel studs. Some vehicles require a Torx head socket to remove the bolts that hold the brake calipers or it might require a small socket if it's a regular bolt head. Probably not a bad idea to go to your local library and find a Chilton's manual for your year of vehicle. They give good instructions on how to change stuff.

Trying to fit my own head gasket on pinto engine 2.0 do i need to use a gasket sealant and bought a torque wrench to refit cylinder head but dont know how to fit it

Use no sealer or treatment of any kind. To torque the head bolts you must go in a military rotation.Think of it as a spiral starting with one of the center bolts and working your way out to the ends. The torquing should be done in three stages, fist bring them down to 30 foot lbs. then going from the center again, this time in the opposing spiral, bring them down to 60 foot lbs. And lastly, bring them down to the specified tightness in your manual usually around 85-90 foot lbs. On the thrid sequence return to the original spiral direction that you started out with. Good luck, Dana

Cylinder head bolt torque

Torque all headbolts to 29 ft lbs with a good and accurate torque wrench, then tighten them further in two steps 90 Degrees per step. But if you've replaced the head bolts with new ones tighten them and additional 90 Degrees.

can we have a picture of fan/pump assembly?
if not, just fit the correct size of wrench on the bolts.
if you have adjustable wrench that could reach those bolts.
use socket wrenches, or close type wrench.

email me the picture. jyzomnix2@yahoo.com
