Need to no how the dots lines up on1984 ols 5.0 timing gears

Generally speaking, eight cylinder engines have the top gear dot on the bottom and the bottom gear dot on the top - facing each other.
You may want to check a repair book or shop manual for your specific engine.

My Suzuki grand vitara H25a engine releases white smoke immediately after starting; Please tell me what is the cause of this problem and how can I repair this problem.

white smoke a startup is usually an indication of bad valve seals, and the solution is to remove the head and have them replaced-it can be done with special techniques with the head installed, and requires a compressor, remove the retainers, springs and replace the seals.

I'd remove the head and have the valves cleaned up at the same time as the seals replaced, if you have good rings it would be like a new engine.

Hello mrchunkie,
It sounds to me from what you describe that your timing belt/chain has jumped time. What type of car or truck is it and how many miles is on the vehicle and also have you had the belt /chain replaced recently? Please feel free to contact me. Thanks John
