Wisdom might add a couple of other steps...

Even the (sample) AMAZON kits below
INCLUDE the pressure plate, throw-out & pilot bearings
and an ALIGNMENT TOOL...

Like begging, borrowing or buying a good repair
manual... Once you go to all the trouble & mess
of pulling the tranny...

Check out the surface of the fly-wheel &
PRESSURE PLATE... if they are mirror smooth...
Any groves at all will result is chattering clutch and terrible driving conditions
(nice to know BEFORE torqueing in a NEW clutch)

ALSO... The need for a CLUTCH ALIGNMENT tool
(can't get tranny back together without clutch aligned).

POSSIBLY
Your job is as simple as described in the
PREVIOUS ANSWER... (possibly)

ELSE
While you are there and at least aware of HALF the difficulty of getting there... it MIGHT be wise to at least CONSIDER
the condition of the other expendables...

TYPICALLY a NEW THROW-OUT bearing, pilot bearing...

My less than humble opinion... I'd RATHER not do the job twice
for the price of a PRESSURE PLATE... or PILOT BEARING...!!!

I'm just saying

The transmission has to come out to access the clutch. Not to difficult if you have the tools and mechanical skill

Will a 96,97 year,clutch kit fit a 95 year model?

clutches are measured in clutch plate diameter. Unless there is a significant increase in power in engine between years then there is a good chance that the clutch kits will fit . In your case you are going down in years so the only thing to stop you is the clutch plate diameter . I am inclined to think that it will. Check the kit numbers in the spare parts shops
looking on the net an EXcedy clutch kit toyota rav 4 1994-2005--- sxa10r, sxa11r. That tells me that it is the same clutch kit

HI, I own a 1997 Toyota Rav 4 4 wheel drive 4 cyl, the other day it started to make this loud noise coming from the front sounds like a grinding noise, when you put the clutch in the sound goes away any...

it sounds like it is either your clutch or the throw out bearing. either way you more than likely need to have to install a complete clutch kit (pressure plate, clutch disc, throw out bearing, and have your flywheel resurfaced.

How do you change a clutch in a 93 toyota 4x4?

Basically, you remove the hood, remove AC,remove Rad, remove Starter, setup a engine hoist and remove all bolts that holds tranny/motor.
Support Tranny and with the hoist having the weight of the motor slowly separate motor and tranny.
Once motor is free from tranny, there is a cage at the back of motor, remove and replace with new. 3 pieces Clutch,ClutchPlate, and the throw-out-bearing.
The reason for replacing is you do not want to disassemble again for not replacing an item.
Put it all back together

I need to know how to replace a clutch on a 1989 4 runner toyota pickup 6 cylinder engine

2Ways 1 take the Engine out and fit the new clutch if you have a block and tackel or crane to lift it.
2nd Jack up truck as high as possible and fit stands under,, Rmove gear levers/tail shafts/ transfer box and all other parts before removeing X member on box/ and put jack under engine/before removing all bell housing bolts and starter motor..remove box assy.. fit new clutch, refit box etc in reverse of removal.. But engine out is the BEST WAY

Ticking when the accelerator is pressed

it may sound like the clutch but this problem has nothing to do with the clutch. these motors are notorious with machinists. The oiling system is lousy, you are most likely throwing rod #6 in the motor.
as the machinist up the street from me has noted that everyone that he has done was rod #6 being thrown.

2000 Toyota Tundra - Clutch Sticking

First - Check motor mounts - when you let off the clutch, your truck demands torque from the engine putting pressure on the motor mounts. If your motor mounts are bad, your engine will twist more then normal when release the clutch and it may pull your linkage cables tight to your accelerator. Also - you might check the spring at the throttle body and see if it is sprung or something.
