Tammy,
What kind of car? It differs depending on your model and year. A tad more info would help us answer.

Dipstick snapped at handle and has now been pushed in side motor .. can i leave it there.. car is 2002 yg holden cruze

You can, but how are you going to get the oil level correct. It is pretty critical to get the oil between the high and low level lines. Too much oil and too little oil are both bad news for the life of the engine. Too little oil can cause an engine seizure. The best thing to do is drop the sump off the engine and push the dipstick out of the hole, then replace it or get it mig welded.

How to remove dipstick which is stuck to check the oil ?

On most vehicles there is a nut to hold the tube for the oil. Check the tube, then after the tube is loosened, You can wiggle tube and it should come out of engine block to fix or repair dip stick. If the seal on bottom of oil tube is bad replace it. God-Bless!

Spiral dipstick in new car

A lot of cars have these sticks. It’s best to dip first ting in the morning before the engine is started the oil would have settled by then. Otherwise when it’s hot leave it for an hour then dip it.

Can't find where to add transmission fluid in a 2006 all wheel drive equinox

I am unfamiliar with exact car, however, It is not unusual for transmission oil to be put in via the the transmission dip stick tube - do not confuse it with the engine oil dip stick tube. Do it slowly and make sure you dont over fill or you will eventutally blow your transmission box seals or worse. Let the oil settle before checking levels too because it is easy to misread the dip stick when you have used the dip stick tube to fill oil in.

How do I replace the oil dipstick tube?

The dipstick can be pulled out of the block with a pair of vicegrips and the new one driven down into the block. Before trying to pull the dipstick tube out make sure it is not held onto the block with a small bolt.

WHERE DO I PUT THE TRANSMISION FLUID

you have to locate the tranny dip stick and pull it out- then get a funnel that will fit down the hole- and slowly pour in tranny fliud. check level by putting dip stick back in (allow time for fuild to drip down out of the tube) make sure engine is running and is warmed up while reading fluid level on dipstick. Make sure it is the tranny dip stick and not the oil dipstick. oil is usually yellow and says oil on it- Trans is usually red.
