How do i remove a rusty sleeve from the tailpipe?

2 methods are to mind

1 is to heat the section with oxy or good gas equipment.

2 is to get an angle grinder with a 1 mm disk and carefully cut the length of the sleeve with out cutting the pipe underneath. ( 2 or three cuts will allow the cuts to break through and peel off)--Safety first --use safety glasses).

It would be worth considering cutting the pipe where it is good and fitting a section in place that has been expanded at either end as the pipe under the sleeve will also be rusted

Heavy vibration in 2005 jeep liberty

Check fuel pump and pressure on the system; also keep in mind that, if you drive with low gas, could damage the injection system.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

I have honda 91 and i get difficult to start up the engine when the weather is hot

the first thing that came to mind is the PGM-FI relay. These are really common in older hondas. It supplies power to the fuel pump, injectors, and ignition system. What happens is the solder joints crack and when the vehicle sits out in the sun all day the inside temp of the car is enough for those cracks to expand and cause an open circuit.

The relay is located up under the dash on the drivers side of the vehicle to the left of the steering wheel and almost right above where your left foot would be. It will ba a large relay and I think it is brown in color on that year. It will say PGM-FI main relay (or something simular) right on it. It will have a single connector will 6-8 wires coming out of it.

Once it is out of the car you can pop the plastic cover off and inspect the solder joints. You will be looking for what look like faint rings in the solder joints. I think I have a picture of a bad join. If you want to see it let me know and I'll post it.

Engine temp gauge rises to above normal within 10 minutes of driving, then comes back to normal range after warm air has entered the cabin. Coolant added but still happens.

That's a slow opening thermostat, nothing to be really concerned about unless it gets really hot. You might want to replace thermostat for peace of mind.

Clacking noise under middle of car after car has been driven for awhile and then parked.

hi this cracking noise could be something as simple as the heat shield/guard between the exhaust pipe and underbody ? it could be contracting /expanding due to heat from exhaust ? especially if stopped after high speed /long journey ? however just to put mind at ease may i suggest you pop to local w/shop and ask if they could check shield for security ? would not think they would charge just to look ? if they are not busy ? but ask in case?
