The damage you will have to do to your car to do all that is way more than the cost of a new key. Just get a new key.

I have a fiesta 04 plate and the immobiliser is on how do i turn it off

They are all different but many systems will work if you leave key turned to on for 5 to15 minutes or so (need good battery) and then click right to start. Bigger issue may be chip key or ignition "reader" in vehicle may have lost contact due to age.

How can you bypass an antitheft system on a 2002 tdi jetta?

If it is not a new key fob, it sounds to me like the immobilizer is activated. So, all the lights on the dash are working now? Is there a flashing key on the dash lights? One of the resets that works is put the key fob in, and turn ignition on without starting it, and leave it 15 minutes. And try again.

My renault clio doesnt start but turns over and then i leave the ignition on and take a relay out and knock it a few times out it back then it starts.this happenes everyday.

wiring connector going to injection unit on right side of engine disconnect it clean terminals with screwdriver and sand paper wet and dry preferabely once this is done spray connectors ,reconnect it and joddle the all other electrical connections on engine spray all with wd40 once this is done the car will start you could try starting car after each connection worked on common fault on these cars also if its a immobiliser fault reset sequence as follows remove key from ign lock up car holding key in locked position count to 30 seconds then unlock car,put key in the ignition to third position( ie key position before starter is engaged) wait 20 seconds then remove key reinsert and car will start if not go through sequence again

This car has a chip key, you can't just put any old key in it it must be programmed to not turn on the security system and disable starting, which is what you have now, the system has locked you out.

I lost my keys and have to have a ride but i havent got the money to get a key cut. i need to know how to hotwire a 00 buick regal.

you can just try taking off the steering cowl and unscrewing the black cap (multifuntion switch/ignition switch) what about the steering lock?
If you have lost the keys forever then you may as well drill out the lock? youll have to buy a new ignition barell anyway.....
It's likely the car is immobilised though, it needs the proper key! although sometimes the immobiliser is disabled, sometimes it works sometimes it dosent...
good luck!

Hello. Renault Clio Grande Reg: X537DMW Recent service carried out to find ignition fault. New battery. Healthy key turn but does not fire up engine every time and problem getting more frequent. Mechanic...

hi... there are several reasons for this to happen.

1.Battery terminals loose or corroded.
2. Ignition components damp or damaged
3. Broken, loose or disconnected wiring in the ignition circuit.
4. Worn, faulty or incorrectly gapped spark plugs.
5. fuel injection system fault.
6. Major mechanical fault, e.g camshft drive.

Lots of questions first.

Does the starter motor engage when turning the key?????
Is the air filter in good condition?????
Do you have an immobiliser on the car???

Advice! albeit rather harsh! when attempting to start the car give the startermotor a good stern whack with a hammer! some times the starter jams and this and cause the aforementioned problem.

Hope this helps

Flat battery caused immobiliser problems

1-insert and remove key from ignition two times

2-close and open driver door two times

3-insert and remove key once from ign.

4-close and open drvr door twice

5-insert key into ign.,then close driver door

6-turn key to on (not start) then off, twice this is rewrite mode, have all remotes to reprogram it will clear any lost remotes.

7-remove key from ignition, the door locks should cycle twice.if not start may take a few tries.

8-press lock/unlock together and hold for a second

9-release,and press lock on remote, the door locks will cycle confirming program.continue to do other remotes you have, steps 8 and 9.if only one in possession, you are done. To end mode open door or insert key into ignition.

You'll need to follow the steps with no more than a 1-2 second delay between each step.. hope it works

Wont start

Had a similar problem with my x type 2.5 petrol, only had the car 1 day went to start it nothing happend all the lights came up on the dash but the engine wouldn't start and the immobiliser light stayed on. Spoke to Jaguar they had no idea and I couldn't get it to them. After disconnecting the battery trying to reset the immobiliser phoned and auto locksmith they came out and discovered the end of the key with the blade had lost it's coding and the immobiliser was not disarming, they reprogrammed the key and the car started no problem. As far as i know there is no way past the immobiliser. Hope this helps.
