SOURCE: what kind of trans fluid do you use on a 2002 kia spectra?

SOURCE: 03 kia won't start
Hi do you have any power at all ie when you turn the ignition on do you get all the dashboard lights light up as normal and can you use the headlights etc if you can are the lights bright or not.
If you have no power at all then the chances are the battery needs replacing or it could even be that the alternater needs replacing and then your battery has run flat.
The best thing to do is either charge your battery up and then try your car again if it starts up as normal but their is a picture of the battery lit up on the dashboard then this indicates that the alternater needs replacing.
If after charging the battery you still have no power at all then this would indicate that the leads coming from the battery are loose or not connected at all.
The main problem with the leads from the battery is with the earth leads one should go to the body work you will need to undo this and check that this is not corroded where it touches the body work you can use sand paper to remove any corrosion
The other earth lead connects to the engine check this is still connected and free from corrosion.
Check also the possitive lead from the battery that goes to the starter motor check this is still connected also as this is the main lead from the battery.
You could try using jump leads from someone elses car onto your battery this way if you still had no power it would then 100% be the leads at fault.
If after connecting the jump leads you thne have power and can then start the car this would then indicate that either the battery is at fault or the alternater the way to test this would be when the car is running at night time park up agains a wall about 10 feet away with the head lights on full beam facing the wall no when you rev the engine up the lights should shine slightly brighter then when you stop revving it should go slightly dim if it does this then the alternater is ok and the battery needs replacing.
If the lights dont go any brighter then this suggests that the alternater needs replacing.
Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

the fluid is drained by removing the transmission pan located under the car. make sure you buy a transmission filter kit so you can change the filter and gasket. the trans fluid is added to the dipstick tube, where you have located the dipstick.
SOURCE: what kind of oil should
Any good quality multigrade oil will be ok and the grade depends on the temperature of where you live. The colder the temperature, the lower the first figure of the rating of the oil should be, but for normal summer temperatures a 20W-50 is perfect. If the engine has rather a high mileage on it, there are special oils blended for that. Try choose an oil from a company that is well known and has the backing and support of a major fuel brand.
