Will it crank? Overheating is a quick engine damager. While there are many questions here needing answers. On those overheated engines i had or come in, i immediately add to the fuel and oil a friction reducing product you can try. If the engine cranks. This product will remove friction as a fault and perhaps heal the damage, saving the engine - once you find out the won't start negative. Yes it turns over and acts like it wants to start. but I wore done the battery. It was like it was flooded out

OK. I know thae special additive product helps a lot. Hope you keep this brand in all your cars. Its a powerful protector and heal overheating if possible - saving your engine. Next

Lets put in new spark plugs. With one spark wire off, attach a spark viewer you can buy at habbor f or some parts stores. It lets you see if a coil is making spark every second as the engine cranks. If OK spray a flamable carb cleaner for 2 seconds into the air cleaner with he air cleaner removed. Then attempt starting. If it starts - then dies, you have a fuel delivery problem. Go those steps to isolate if its a spark, fuel, or other problem. Hope this helps...

I have a 99 ford ranger that I changed all the fuses in and now it won't start. I'm assuming it's because of the anti theft, but I don't know what to do from here. Any help or suggestions would be muc

If the security system is at fault, the security light should be flashing or staying on.
Do the warning lights come on the dash when you turn the key on ? Can you jumper the starter relay and make it crank ?

Why is my 99 Ford Ranger dying when I step on the pedal?

Is the check engine light on when the engine is running ?
You'll have to figure out if it is a fuel problem or electrical problem.
Have you checked fuel pressure yet ?

I keep having problems with my waterpump on my 99 ford ranger. I've replaced it twice and Im still having trouble with it

if its over heating its probably the thermostat or if water pump keeps going bad then there is too much tension on the belt.

Air conditioning and heating problem

The blend door actuator is vacuum driven. It sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Trace the vacuum lines starting at the firewall in front of the passenger side. With the heater or AC on HIGH and directed at the front vents, listen for a leak or trace the vacuum line back ward to try to find a leak. All the best.

Will '89 Ranger leaf springs fit a '99 Ford Ranger 4x4?

Measure the distance from bolt to bolt, and to the center. If they match then, they match, if not you will have to check the numbers with fords tolerances to avoid an axle wrap. But it should fit, maybe just a little stiffer of a suspension from the 4x4.
