Put a little bit of gasket cement or contact cement on the edge of the T-Stat to hold it in place.

My car a Mazda 2.0lt 1986 model keeps on overheating during a jurny we overalled the head and fitted a new head gasket but it keeps on overheating what's wrong

When you replaced the headgasket did you ensure that there were no cracks in the head? I know you say it was overhauled, just trying to cover all the bases. Did you change the thermostat when you replaced the headgasket? Is your radiator plugged or possibly your heater core. Start the car with the rad cap off and watch as it warms up. Once engine gets to temperature you should be able to see the fluid move in the radiator. If it overheats before that happens then your thermostat is sticking.

Will a 1990 ford ranger engine fit 1990 Mazda B 2200 truck without any modifications?

No it will not. Only a comparable engine from another mazda b2200 truck and I think the b2000 and possibly Miata, 2.2 engines were about the same from 1986-1993. You can pretty much count out just dropping in a motor from a different manufacturer for any make. Fords don't fit chevys, etc. etc., This would require you modify the entire drive train and quite possibly the electrical system, cooling system, etc. Definitely not worth the hassle involved.

When you fill the radiator and you start the vehicle the thermostat will open up when it is warmed and coolant will sink down there you fill the radiator up always keeping you eye on the temperature gauge. If air conditioner system not working cause 1999 Mazda 626 2.0L to overheat

No this wont cause an overheat problem. Check the coolant level , check to see if the fans come on after it heats up. when the car is warming up you can check the thermostat, by touching the top radiator hose, after a few minutes the hose should get hot, this indicates that the thermostat opened up and is working. If it doesn't replace the thermostat. If it doesn't over heat until you start driving , then suspect the water pump. The impellers can slip on the shaft and not have enough flow to keep it cool.

Transmission is slipping in my 1986 mercedes 190E. Was told it was an easy fix with a 50$ part. Is this a common problem with this model?

Depends, it can be the stage pistons which is replaceable from the outside and is fairly cheap. It is worth trying, if it doesnt then if it needs a rebuild those parts are already replaced. He may have meant the modulator also. Same idea for it. Better 50 dollars than 1500-2200 for a replacement.

Golf 1 clutch keeps slipping

Yes, replace it. It wears out just like brake rotors do. If it is too thin the clutch will slip.

Transmission slipping making noise

If u keep it below 25 miles an hour you should make it, but this loud noise worries me, this noise means something is coming apart, if it does it may lock the trans up, so keep the speed down.
