SOURCE: WHERE IS THE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ON A 2005 PONTIAC

It is on the top of the engine near the throttle body. It is in the "valley" of the V8 engine, which might not make it immediately visible, but looks like it would be easy to access. It points upward out of the top of the engine, but is below the level of the intake runners. You'll have to remove the "engine beautification cover" to reach it.

The fan are controlled by the engine computer based on input from the coolant temperature sensor. unplug the Coolant temperature sensor and see,if the other fan comes on.There are three wires from the Engine Coolant Temperature sensor or CTS for short (Coolant Temperature Sensor). One wire gives the temperature signal to your dash temp gauge, one gives a temperature signal to the PCM, and the other provides a low reference signal to the PCM and provides the signal to turn on the fans.If the CTS wire is short then it will not signal both or any one fan to come ON.---------- To check Coolant Temperature sensor wiring.Click this link below:-- http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii259/SyntheticShield/Grand%20Prix%20Diagrams/Electrical%20Diagrams/Coolant_Temp_Sensor_Connector.gif ----------- Also you check the fan connections and wiring too, this will help to locate the exact short in wiring:--- To get the exact wiring. Please click on the link below:---- http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii259/SyntheticShield/Grand%20Prix%20Diagrams/Electrical%20Diagrams/Cooling_System_Schematic.gif
You can see in the last diagram that the fan relays go directly to the PCM to get the ground (or low reference) signal in order to engage and that comes directly from the CTS.You can see in the last diagram that the fan relays go directly to the PCM to get the ground (or low reference) signal in order to engage and that comes directly from the CTS.You can see in the last diagram that the fan relays go directly to the PCM to get the ground (or low reference) signal in order to engage and that comes directly from the CTS.

You will have to determine the source of your no start. Highly unlikely a fuse issue. You need to find out if the vehicle has spark to the spark plugs and fuel to the injectors. If either is not there, the vehicle will not start

2006 Pontiac Grand Prix gxp overheats after only driving 10 to 15 miles the ac off for engine protection comes on then coolant hot mil comes on. What is the best suggestion for this fix?

First check to see if fan motors are working. If they are then sounds like new thermostat And after you put in new thermostat don't forget to bleed the air out of system with engine running. Bleed screws should be on manifold on front of engine. If you don't bleed the air out then it will overheat. I had same problem but the only thing I forgot to do after changing coolant and thermostat was bleeding the air. Good luck

Pontiac grand prix high beams work but not low beams

I have a 2008 Pontiac Grandprix GXP I had hit a deer in May the repairs were made in June of this year. Here is my problem the air bag light comes on while I'm driving the car and now I have no low beam lights. I have taken the car back to where the repairs were done, cause I think the problems are from the damages. I was informed today that there's no juice from the fuse box to the low beam switch. What would cause this?

My low beams also just stopped working on my 2007 grand prix, what's the problem and how do u fix it,thanks chris

Might be a bad bulb, burned fuse, bad relay or simple bad switch.
Check the fuse box first.
