I would say your cable broke on your assembly for your power window.. it would be easier to buy the window regulator assembly complete , Meaning motor and window track assembly. This same thing happened on my sons 2012 Chevy Cruze. . I replaced the window regulator assembly complete and it works fine.

replace the window regulator/motor'll find it at most auto parts stores here is a listing at autozone as far as the procedure, there are a few screws to take out and pop the door panel off, then the regulator thing is only a couple of screws...easy project. should take about 30 min. to complete. have fun!

The window on the back seat driver's side door slipped down, and the motor seems to be working, but I can't get it to stay up. What needs to be done for me to fix this?

you need to replace the window regulator. these are sold new on eBay and at auto parts stores. when you get it, go to a glass store which also does automotive, they can replace the old with new for about 50 bucks. it really helps to have the tools, fasteners and know how.

While my driver's side window (2004 Honda Civic) was rolled down at a drivethru, I heard it fall and now it won't roll back up. I can hear the motor trying to roll it up when I press the button, so I know...

Seems some supports / clips of glass was falling down make your window unable goes upward. It is not to hard to fix it and these can be purchase auto part store ( I guess you don't need to buy new ones but just re install existing ones). If you are confident enough just go through with your plan and have it fixed yourself.

Power window on drivers side wont work sometimes.

if your going to do it your self buy a haynes or chilton do it yourself book eather at half priced books or auto parts store .
the driver side gets the most work out most times door open shut most times exposed to the element and coffe and soda at the drive threw eather a short or up and down need cleaned .you can clean them with a can of electrical parts wash from your auto parts store run 9$ to 14$ .when you are going to remove the controle assemble from the arm rest make shure you disconect the neg from the battery. give it a good washing let dry put back and re-attach battery. if that dont work try to replace that driver side up down button or try to take it appart and clean it better .

I have a 2002 mustang convertible. My rear windows will not go down... I finally got the right side rear window to go down, but the driver side still refuses to go down. Is there anything I can do to...

I suspect they are powered windows. If so you can simply do two thingsto do a test on the one not working. A OHM meter will make things easier to work with if you have one and have the knowledge to use on. They are selling very cheap these days at any Auto Zone store and most other auto parts stores. They do come with instructions as well
Any ways you can swap the rear window switch to the side that oes not work and try it or remove the 1/4 interior trim panel and test the motor it self. Two wires go to the motor. One for up and one for down. I would take a lead wire from the fuse box and try each connector on the motor to see if it works both ways. The motors housing is the grond so no additional grounding is required by you. The ohm meter can be used to test each switch and also for shorted out wires too.
It may sound difficult although its now. Removing the trim panel is the hardest part of all
Good luck and hope you get this going soon

I have a 2002 Honda Accord EX 4-dr sedan. The front driver's side power window motor works (you can hear it), and the window will go down, but not back up. You can hear the motor when pushing the button...

Hi, the reason you hear the motor running but the window wont go back up is because the window regulator is bad. you will need to go to a parts store and get a replacement. you can get a replacement at Advance Auto Parts for $72.99. the part number is 741-766.

Window will try to go up but doesn't

You most likely need a new window motor. you can check on the price of them at your local auto parts store, but usually the hardest part of changing it is getting the inner door panel off and back on in one piece. Usually the drivers door window motor fails first, as it is used the most.
