How do u replace a thermostat on a 2010 dodge journey sxt

Trace the lower radiator hose to it's junction with the engine block.
That should be the location of your thermostat housing, it has the thermostat inside.
Drain the radiator into a pan or bucket.
If you cannot find the drain spigot, you can still drain it by removing the hose, but you will need a really big pan to catch the coolant.
Detach the lower hose from the thermostat housing above mentioned.
Remove the screws holding the housing to the block.
Remove and replace the thermostat.
Follow the above steps in reverse order to reassemble it.
Pour your coolant back in to the radiator.
Run the engine for 10 minutes with the radiator cap off and the heater on full blast (set to heat) to "burp" the air from the heating system.
Fill the radiator with coolant whilst it is running, if needed.
God bless your efforts.

Why is oil in coolsnt reservoir of 2001 nissan sentra

this is not GOOD that means somewhere the two are mixing, and it's just a matter of time before it really damages motor.drain oil and check for coolant in oil, look at oil dip stick do you see white stuff on it or mixed oil and foam ? if you have an automatic transmission the coolant and tranny share cooling in bottom of radiaitor ,and that my be what your seeing in coolant tank unless its very dark like used motor oil.

How can I drain Peugeot 407 2.0 diesel coolant?

That is hard to believe, since the bottom hose is the lowest point in the cooling system. There is an engine block drain plug which would let out what coolant is remaining in the engine, but it would be about a liter at most left in the engine. To completely drain the coolant, remove the block drain-there may be a drain plug on both sides of block, so you should check for that.

A diagram of the flushing of a radiator and block of a chevrolet blazer LS 2000

Theres no such thing as a diagram, here are the draining instructions, hope this helps...
  • 1-Place a large drain pan beneath the radiator drain plug. The drain plug is located on the passenger side at the very bottom of the radiator on the engine side.

  • 2-Make sure the engine is cool. Open the hood of the truck and remove the radiator cap.
  • 3-Loosen the drain plug. On the 2000 Blazer, the drain plug is a wing-nut type of plug. Twist it with your fingers until the coolant begins to drain.

  • *To flush the block, once you have drained the radiator, run the engine for a bit untill the temp gauge goes up to normal, then the coolant will have been evacuated from the block. DO NOT leave the engine on, once it reaches normal temp, (this will happen quick) turn off right away, otherwise you'll be forking out a few hundred $$$ to fix the worped heads.
4-Tighten the drain plug with your fingers once the coolant has drained fully from the radiator. Remove the drain pan and dispose of the used coolant properly.
Some service stations will take and recycle your used coolant.
    Hope this helps...

Where is the drain plug for the radiator

Should be a drain **** at the bottom of the radiator that unscrews out. It looks like a wing nut has been welded to a bolt on the end of it. Another way to do this is just pull off the bottom hose.

    Overfilled coolant reservoir

This should not be a big deal. You can try a syphon tube but DO NOT SWALLOW ANY COOLANT. Or use a large turkey baster to **** up up coolant. It takes awhile though.
The car is fine to drive.

Where is the engine coolant drain bolt on a 2003 2azfe camry? i found the radiator drain but can't find the engine drain plug-a photo would be great

The textbook method is to remove the drain plug on the bottom of the radiator.

Most drain plug is make of inexpensive nylon/plastic and it may fall apart while you turn it.

The professional method is to loosen the lower radiator clamp and drop to lower radiator hose.

Drain the coolant onto a large drain pan and recycle the coolant
