SOURCE: 2006 Ford Fusion SEL - TPS

The TPS is an easy part to replace. It has 2 screws and 1 electric connector. It is about the size of a butane lighter and attaches to the metal airhorn.

There is only a slight adjustment possible for this part. One end has an elongnated slot for the screw. Just look at where the old part was adjusted and replace it that way. The only thing you need to watch is aligning the slot on the throttle shaft with the indentation on the TPS.

While you are replacing the part, disconnect the battery on the POS cable and this will reset the "check engine" light on the dash. Then reconnect and drive your car.

SOURCE: 2006 Ford Fusion. Left front door inside handle

This link is from the handle to the latch. The door panel has to be removed in order for this problem to be fixed. The linkage is inside the door panel, it is a small diamater metal rod called a link. If you do the job yourself be careful not to break the door panel. In a shop, the labor is 1 hour for the job & if any, parts will be a seperate charge.

SOURCE: p0128 code on 2006 ford

Your vehicle needs a thermostat. It is a pretty simple repair. Its under the left side of the intake manifold. You have to get one of the bolts from the bottom and the other two from the top.

How to change engine cooling sensor on 2007 ford fusion

To begin, this year fusion had some issues with overheating problems which seem to be solved by 'bleeding' the coolant system of all air. Historically, an air bubble will become superheated and cause the temp needle on the dash to rise suddenly. This is often mis-diagnosed as a bad sensor, so initially be sure that the system is free of any air and is completely filled with coolant. If you do find that this does not solve the problem, and you determine that a sensor replacement is called for, it is always helpful to provide the engine size. The most popular engine was the 2.3 liter, 4 cylinder. If that is your motor, then it has two temp sensors. One is the cylinder head temp sensor and the other being the coolant temp sensor. If you have trouble code P0128, then this could be a result of a stuck thermostat, bad connection to the sensor or a bad sensor as you have determined. The reason I am providing all of this information is that you should eliminate other simple problems before replacing sensors. The temp sensor is located as an attachment to the water outlet adapter on the lower radiator hose. It is identified as part #19 in the attached diagram. and is a threaded component. It sells for about $20. A pic of the part can be seen here: Again, I am guessing as to your motor size. Other sizes will have different applications. Good Luck!

Car chugs and sometimes stalls while idoling. codes that come up are P0771, P0128, P0171, and P2195 any help is appreciated

First code P0771 is shift solenoid E is stuck or has a performance problem.Code P0128 could be low coolant, leaking or stuck open thermostat, faulty coolant fan (running to much) or faulty coolant temperature sensor.Code P0171 fuel system to lean usally its a dirty mas air flow sensor or a weak fuel pump, fuel filter or fuel pressure regulator. Code P2195 is oxygen sensor stuck lean bank1 sensor 1.I would check for low fuel pressure causing the lean condition or faulty injectors (clogged). Also i would replace the coolant temperature sensor.

How do you fix a P0128 code on a 2006 Ford Fusion?

Upstream HO2S Sensors Swapped or this one
P0128....Coolant Thermostat (Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature) now if this a 2006 model built for the europeon market then your code reader is a waste of time as it will never read the correct codes and if your really lucky it could lock up the immobilisor as well this is to prevent general garages from doing any repairs so just take it back to a ford garage

Code P0128 ford, fusion 2006 4 cly

I had the same code. It means your engine coolant temp. is too low. That means your thermostat needs to be changed. Get the Ford Motorcraft one. It comes with the entire housing. Have a mechanic replace it. It is a real bugger to get to.
