Install shift lever 2001 dodge stratus 2.4

Not sure what your asking, but if your vehicle is not coming out of park then you need to get the repair kit at chrysler dealer an remove the center console. The kit comes with a metal piece that slips of the release lever which is plastic and pink in color. What happens is it breaks and the spring comes off, so the new metal piece has an end that the spring attaches too. Slip it over the pink plastic piece and attach the spring from there to the rear of the shifter assemble you'll see where the other end of the spring goes. This will fix your problem. BUT, FIRST, check will the dealer to see if your vehicle is covered under the RECALL for that problem. Hope this helps! Have an awesome day Anthony!

1985 chevy blazer steering wheel removel

Remove the horn button, it should pop off unless you have the deluxe wheel in which case it is held on with 2 Philips screws on the back of the wheel. There is a large nut that has to come off as well as some bits and pieces for the horn. PAY close attention to how these pieces come apart or your horn won't work when you reassemble it. Attach the steering wheel puller and remove the wheel. It helps to give the bolt on the puller a rap with a hammer as you tighten it. Don't bother to try to do this without the puller... it don't work.

With the wheel out of the way, you will see a plate with grooves in the edge of it. This is the locking plate. There is a special tool to remove this but you probably won't be able to rent it. Try to borrow it if you can. If not, it can be removed without the tool. BE WARNED that THIS PLATE CAN HURT YOU as in break teeth or a nose. It is spring loaded with a very heavy spring. To remove it get a piece of boomstick or bar about 16 inch long. Enough so you can use your shoulder to push down on it and hold it while you pry the lock ring off the center shaft. Then ease the plate up until you feel it break contact with the spring. then remove it and the spring. Don't bother trying to put it back together without the spring. You'll just have to take it back apart and put the spring in. Hope this helps.

How do you bleed the brake system on 2003 suzki grand yitara 4x4 with abs brakes

The hydraulic brake system must be bled any time one of the brake lines is disconnected or air enters the system. There are two ways to bleed the system; pressure bleeding or manual bleeding. Both procedures will be given here, although pressure bleeding requires the use of some fairly expensive equipment (a pressure tank) and is seldom used. Both methods are equally effective. The correct bleeding sequence is: left front, right front, left rear, and right rear. On master cylinders equipped with a bleeder valve, bleed the master cylinder last.
PRESSURE BLEEDING
  1. Clean the top of the master cylinder, remove the cover, and attach the pressure bleeding adapter.
  2. The spring-loaded plunger on the front of the proportioning valve must be depressed while bleeding. Wire or tape can be wrapped around the valve to hold the plunger in.
  3. Check the pressure bleeder reservoir for correct pressure 20-29 psi (137-206 kPa) and fluid level, then open the release valve.
  4. Fasten a bleeder hose to the wheel cylinder or caliper bleeder nipple and submerge the free end of the hose in a transparent receptacle. The receptacle should contain enough brake fluid to cover the open end of the hose.
  5. Open the wheel cylinder or caliper bleeder nipple and allow the fluid to flow until all bubbles disappear and an uncontaminated flow exists.
  6. Close the nipple, remove the bleeder hose and repeat the procedure on the other wheel cylinders according to the sequence.

MANUAL BLEEDING(see Figures 1, 2 and 3)An alternative to the pressure method of bleeding requires two people to perform; one to depress the brake pedal and the other to open the bleeder nipples.
  1. Clean the top of the master cylinder, and then remove the cover and fill the reservoir with clean brake fluid.
  2. To prevent squirting fluid replace the cover.
  3. The spring-loaded plunger on the front of the proportioning valve must be depressed while bleeding. Wire or tape can be wrapped around the valve to hold the plunger in.
  4. Install a box end wrench on the left front bleeder screw.
  5. Attach a length of small diameter, clear vinyl tubing to the bleeder screw. Submerge the other end of the rubber tubing in a glass jar partially filled with clean brake fluid. Make sure the rubber tube fits on the bleeder screw snugly or you may be squirted with brake fluid when the bleeder screw is opened.
  6. Have your friend slowly depress the brake pedal. As this is done, open the bleeder screw half a turn and allow the fluid to run through the tube. Close the bleeder screw, then return the brake pedal to its fully released position.
  7. Repeat this procedure until no bubbles appear in the jar. Refill the master cylinder.
  8. Frequently check the master cylinder level during this procedure. If the reservoir runs dry, air will enter the system and the bleeding will have to be repeated.

Hope helps.

Why my chrysler sebring won't shift out of park

If your brake lights work, then the problem is in your shifter assembly. Don't make the costly mistake of paying 342 dollars for a new shift assembly.  Go to Lowe's and buy a variety spring pack for $3.97.  You will need to use the longest spring in the box for the fix.  You will need a needle nose pliers and a flathead screwdriver.  Using the screwdriver, remove the the chrome ring around the shifter assembly.  This will give you a half inch space in diameter of the assembly to work with.  Now you will need to use the needle nose to slightly make a hook out of the spring ends.  Attach one end of the spring to the thin key lock wire on the left of the assembly.  You will use the needle nose to guide one end of the spring down there and attach it gently to where the wire meets the pink plastic lever.  Now carefully guide the other end underneath the black LED power lines and bring it towards the bottom part of the assembly.  Attach the spring to any hole you find where the spring can sit underneath and out of the way from the chrome ring you will ultimately put back on last.

The problem is the pink lever doesn't move back when the driver pushes the gear selector from park all the way to the right.  The pushing pin is a peice of plastic with the frailty of a toothpick.  Over time, this plastic breaks off and leaves the driver stuck in park.  To test if this is your problem do the following:  with your right hand move the gear selector from park, all the way to the right side and at the same time with your left hand and a flathead screwdriver, gently push the pink plastic lever down..then try moving the gear selector to reverse or drive.  If this works, then the spring solution I just described will save you literally hundreds of dollars in costly repairs.

2008 dodge avenger wont shift out of park

After trying the spring trick from an earlier post, my key would not come out. Then the spring came off and went under the shifter hold down bracket (which is held on by 4 10mm bolts). After removing that we found the factory spring and the other spring we were using. The factory spring is about 1/2" in length with a circle at each end. The problem is the hot pink button on the left side, it should have a hook for one of these ends to go into but it is broke off. So we used the factory spring and on the hot pink button we screwed a 1/4" coarse thread screw into the plastic with one end of the spring on it, DO NOT over tighten this screw as you will distort the spring. The other end need to go on a small black hook that is molded on the shifter mechanism.

2003 mitsubishi rear seat release is broken where is the access point

Im pretty certain you need to remove the rear inside panel where the release is,to get to the cables route to the seat where it connects to release it,so I would suggest that you look carefully for retaining screws or small roundish covers over the screws to help remove the panel to get to the cable and you will need to pull on the trim cover as it has clips going into the inside panel to hold it as well(pull towards you)BUT Look first at the seat where the cable attaches to make sure a small retaimimg clip hasnt come off instead!

Access to heater hose

You don't need a clamp with a screw attached, the newer clamps are metal with self spring loading. I dont' know if I'm say it correctly, but you would just squeese the clamp with a pair of pliars and when you release them it applies a constant pressure around the hose.
