Check for a small hole in the perspex face of the speedometer ( about the size of paper clip wire
if you find one , straighten out a paper clip and push it in through that hole onto the reset button in the speedo gauge
this was the procedure for hilux and landcruiser vehicles with manual speedos

It is stalling at idle.. Replace the fuel pump and air finlter.. Be sure the oil level is good..
If it has not had a tune up for a long time - it would be a good idea as well..

I have the 1990 model and just so happened to stumble on its unusual location today as I was replacing the door hinges. On the passenger side open the door and look above the step, there should be a little plastic cap with the wiper icon on it. hope this helps!

The rear washer and the front share the same water bottle in the front, if the rear only is not working the hose to the rear may be disconnected or the motor for the rear washers is bad, there are two motors on the bottle one for front one for the rear, make sure both are working.
