Well something is leaning out the mixture when warm. I'm thinking the EGR valve is either sticking or its vacuum diaphragm is leaking. the EGR is usually not allowed to work until the engine warms up. The EGR vacuum modulator could also be at fault.

Hi MeTV,

I was expecting to hear, 'And the radio only plays the theme from the twilight zone'. I'm glad you're an Engineer.

Process of elimination then:
  • So temperature has nothing to do with it (Summer/Winter no diff).
  • Not a switch (Different locations)
  • Not a ground problem (Too consistent)
  • Not even same circuits.
Maybe it's not so much the engine warming up as the length of time.

What's left are Fusible links. Self resetting fuses that may (and I'm reaching here) be popping during startup. They take a few minutes to reset.

They are normally running through the firewall on the engine side. You will need a meter to check them. It has to be done while nothings working. They are regular wires with little barrel in line.

It's the only component that could be responsible

Low coolant sensor is on the top of radiator but not in any books(89 probe LX) it makes my dash say coolant low but i cant seem too find this part.

radiator coolant levels are low as it is indication the radiator fluid full even after running it a few minutes allowing it to circulate into the block itself you can check by removing the cap with engine running as long as it is cool before starting the vehicle and as it warms up it will flow be careful not to leave the cap off too long or it will shoot out the filler hole but a few minutes should tell weather it is full when exchanging fluid levels
