Need to know the sound? If the starter kicks in and grinds, Could be the starter or the flywheel. You have to pull the starter and look at both. Flywheels will look like half the teeth are missing. You will see it.

DID YOU CHECK FUEL AT THE RAIL WITH A GAUGE OR JUST PUSH THE NEEDLE VALVE AND HAVE FUEL THERE. IF YOU DIDN'T CHECK IT WITH A GAUGE YOU MORE THAN LIKELY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH PRESSURE. BEING ITS A FORD YOU NEED TO CHECK THAT THE FUEL CUT OFF SWITCH DID NOT POP IF ITS OK THEN IT'S THE PUMP

Of readings are inconsistent with known fuel levels, Ground (or connect to a tester light) the sender unit wire and watch if the gauge rises.

The Alternator is part of the charging system,
so why would you mention that,it has nothing to
do with compression,fuel,spark,air or cylinder
recognition !

You talk about fuel pressure
What is the pressure with a gauge?
on the fuel rail.Should be 38 to 42 lbs approx

Do you have injector pulse or spark, either one?

Are you back to the starter it'self? Test that

Hard to tell if you mean a no crank or no start

To say it won't turn over doesn't mean it won't
have fuel or spark,it has to do with the starter
turning the motor

Most people with a no start say it won't turn over,
that is not the case when it does but doesn't start

On my 99 taurus I have two problems.first the fuel gauge isn't reading accurately,it stayin at 3/8 full.along with that gauge the temp gauge isn't moving it stays at cold.second major problem it...

You might have to get the fuel pump out of the tank and clean the patenchio meter which moves up and down, clean it with an eraser on the end of the pencil for best results.
As for the temp guage, check the temp sensor it might have grounded.
Strange whining could be from the loose belt check tensioner, power steering pump for pressure, sterring rack might be seasing/leaking internally.

My 85 f150 is making a clunking noise when driving down the road. Sounds like it's coming from the front. The clunk starts when you start moving and and the clunking increases the faster you move. No...

Possible broken belt in one of your tires. Move the 2 front tires to the rear, see if the problem follows the tires. Or run your hand around the circumference of the tires to feel for a bulge. Other, more expensive problems could be in the suspension. A-arm bushings, or wheel bearings.

Sounds like the rear end differential is going out. I had a similar problem on a customer's truck, and it was the differential in the rearend. Replaced the rearend, and the noise was gone.

First things first: Why keep putting up with Ford F150 2005 , engine spark plug problems, leakage, trucks catching on fire due to faulty electrical systems, etc.... Someone needs to start a class action law suit.....Ford is making all the people that purchased a Ford F150 2005 pay for spark plugs breaking when being replaced at a Ford Dealership, even though it was due to their poor design.....get moving guys
