2006 Malibu Maxx remotes stopped working. Replace

sometimes after replacing dead batteries in remotes the remote resets itself to a different code to that of the vehicle, ie the last time you used the remote it sent a signal to the system, lets say for argument sake, 123456, then the system would open when you pressed the button again as this would clarify the 123456 and close, but when you remove the battery or it stays dead for a certain period of time ( different modles vary) it will reset to factory code it might be 000000, and your vehicle is waiting for 123456 to open it, so what you have to do is reprogram the remotes to the system, you will have to ask the dealership in what sequence you have to do it, they will tell you how to reset the remotes, sorry its long winded but better explain why first so you understand the reason behind the remote, the numbers are just indications on how it works, no numbers are seen obviously this is just an example on how the system comunicates with the remotes hope this helps, most of all hope you get it lol

I have had to disconnect my car battery and now my key remote will not work. ihave a 1999 ford focus and i dont have any of the handbooks that were with the car when new

most of the time when this happens you can turn your ignition switch to on(don't crank) for 10 sec. then back to off then press both lock and unlock buttons on remote and hold them for ten sec. then turn switch back on for10 more sec. then off. it should work now. if not you will have to take to dealer to reprogram key fobs. trust me i know!!!!!

Disc Region eror

you may have a different region on you dvd to your dvd player. say your dvd player was 1st region you can only play 1st region dvds if you try a 2nd or 3rd region dvd it would not work. you can go to a dvd specialist to get it tuned to a multiregion dvd player.
go to a dvd player shop and ask if they know how to tune it.

Central locking system does not work

You should still be able to lock your car with the key, remember how we use to do it the old way..... with the key :-D. The central lock solenoid is located in the door itself, behind the door trim. Replace the offending solenoid with a new or used one. And once again you can lock/unlock the car with the remote
