Question about Mercury Cars & Trucks
On my villager the MAP sensor volt reading is 4.2 before starting the engine and goes down to 1.2 when idleing. These readings seem fine. My repair manual says that the reading should increase as the rpms are increased. When I do increase the rpms my reading goes up for just a second, but then drops down to 1.2 or lower while the rpms are still increased. Should the reading stay up higher the whole time the rpms are increased? Does this mean my MAP sensor is bad?
