its sounds like the immobiliser might be a fault with that but i would first check to see if the chip is still in the ignition key, depending on key there is a few places it can be. red top keys its in there fob keys it can be a separate black chip sitting near to the key base inside the key housing or on some models its attached to the fob board in side check these out first. if you have the chip in the key. the next option is, removing the vehicle battery. now you will need the codes for the radio-cd player as when the battery goes back on the codes will need to be put back in for them to work.. any way put key in ignition, undo and not remove the negative lead on the battery, leave it still attached, go to the ignition and turn to number 2 on ignition wait 2 seconds then back off key to 0, then remove the negative lead, with the lead of battery if you need to you can charge the battery with a charger. leave battery off for and hour with ignition on number 2. this helps drain any power left in the units, alarm can sometimes go off as this is separate from main battery it has its own. after an hour or so put the battery back on but remember to turn ignition off again before putting battery on. now tighten the battery connection and now use the key fob to lock doors then open them and try ignition to start engine, if all works great if not then its going to have to be the codes read from the ecu, some opcom devices can work or even a code reader. hope this helps most time having the battery off for awhile will work.

SOURCE: My Opel Corsa dies down during driving, it will only start again after 7 to 10 mins, l have no clue whats happening.

No idea offhand to be honest i would need my head under the bonnet to know what wrong .could be anything from the gauze filter in the fuel tank on the bottom of the fuel pump becoming chocked up and leaving the car allows it to drop away to a faulty pump overheating or the contacts ,maybe even a ignition module overheating ,Best advice is ask a local mechanic to have a look for you as normally these early opel corsas with the 4 cylinder engine are bullet proof they are even valve free if the timing belt snaps .

SOURCE: timing marks on engine

Use the timing marks on the damper for the crank and bring it to 0 on the cam there are marks that correspond with a mark on the head. Look on autozone dot com and put in the year make and model then look at the free repair guides.

Opel Corsa not starting only giving a click sound when you turn the key.Is it the battery or starter motor problem?

Hi. My first bet would be to have the Battery checked. The click is an indication of the solenoid engaging but the starter not having enough battery power to turn over.

My opel corsa utility year 2000 model 1.7 Diesel bakkie... the clutch pedal dropped almost all the way down and does not come up

Hi Gert:
Sounds as if the throwout bearing / throwout lever has failed.
This will require some mechanical abilities to isolate the problem and do the repairs.
Hope it goes well.

Hi my opel 1.4 bakkie idle starts to hunt 1 min after starting

erratic idle can be many things but as the head has been worked on double check all the connectors to the injector's, vacuum lines , air intake etc have been replaced correctly and look for signs of wear, splits in the pipe work , have the OBD codes read as could have a sensor/switch issue
