Maybe you can bring it to an art museum if there is one nearby. Or are you near a college with an art department? Maybe a professor could give you a start.

If i was to change headlight globes from 55 watt low/65 watt high to xenon halogen 90 watt low/100 watt high is there any problems

Most OE factory wiring is marginal as far as amperage carrying capability goes. They installed wiring fine for the stock bulbs and switch. A lot of vehicles send power to the lights..head and running...through the light switch on the dash. This causes it's own problems as switches are the weak link in the lighting system.

If you run 100watt bulbs you will need to power the bulbs via a 40 amp relay switched by the light switch so the switch does not carry the amperage load through it's contacts.

Doing so will reduce the voltage drop to the bulbs as a 2 volt drop will cause the bulbs to be only 75% as bright as they would be with the full 13.5 volt running voltage..

You run a fused wire from the battery or power distribution block to the relay that should be mounted within 6 inches of the closest h/l bulb. Then from the relay to the head light bulb/s. The front and rear running lamps can remain as factory as they are low amperage draw and original light switch will work because you now no longer run power to the h/lamps through the switch.

Search the www for schematics for relay switched lamps.

My 1993 Honda civic has an aftermarket cold air intake when I start the car cold it idle funny kinda jumping not high but just up down up down until it gets warm but after its warm when I go to drive I...

Please explain your problem in queens english as it doesnt make sense to me sorry to sound rude but its taking a long time to try to interpretate!like are you refering to the air filter ? please remember this car is 21 yrs old and as far as our europeon models are concerned thses car would have reached the scrapyard many years ago owing to the yearly mechancial inspection that a vehcile legally has to have when over three years of age .This inspection clears most cars over 10 yrs of age from the roads due to corrosion and emmisions failures .

All indicators have stopped working

You have the wrong bulb in!

The bulb with the offset pins is a stop / tail bulb, it has two elements and two contacts on the bottom. Typically they are 5 watts element for the taillight and 18 or 21 watts for the stoplight. The offset pins make it so it will only go in one way so the contacts line up to the correct function of Stop light or Tail light. Some cars have combination stop tail bulbs, some have a single 18 watt bulb at the back. The FRONT light indicators are always a single element.

You can see the two elements, the two contacts and the two offset pins in this image.

Signal light went out 2 yrs ago. Just went out again. How long should this turn signal light last? Cadillac SRX 2004

newer high voltage electrical systems can burn out bulbs as often as every few months. 2 years is certainly no problem.

How do I adjust the headlights?

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly, behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator support.

You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam (separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal adjustment screws as well

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

For Low Beams: If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.

Cool car

Hey fastboyz, the car in the pic is a replica of a conceptual car I built 20 years ago based on the 34 deuce from "american graffitti" for a fellow by the name of Dan Hayden (from parts unknown :) clandestine street racing was very much an underground sport back then as you may well know, Back then the car was sold ready for paint, it featured a titanium/aluminum frame along with series ll frame connectors, and 4 wheel disc brakes, a 540 cid chevy (cast block) and dialed in at an aspirated 1100 hp backed up by a semi-automatic 3spd and strange rigged quick change rear end ( 4:10 - 5:12) it was a rocket to say the least and a lot of fun, it took 16 months to build and an investment of $60,000.00 back then, when I bought the car it was a shell I had an apple crate for a seat and chained a 283cid and 2 spd powerglide to the frame I would cruise the country roads drinkin beer.I originally traded an old honda 504cc motorcycle for the deuce if you can imagine, sure wish I had it now :) take care Paul
until next time,Mike

UK Headlights to French Headlights

The headlamps themselves will look identical. If you were to look at the beam pattern of the light, then it would be different. Your original headlights were designed to throw excess light to the passenger side of the road (I.E. away from oncoming cars). Now that driving directions are opposite in France, your old headlights would be throwing the excess light into the oncoming cars, blinding them). The new lights are designed to throw the light away from those oncoming cars.
