When going threw water lose of power and black smoke it dosent have to be deep water a simple puddle will do it but it seems to be ok the next day

Hello Stuart,

It sounds like you may have a cracked water jacket or a failing head gasket. This is a major repair. It would be best to take it to a certified mechanic.

I have a 2005 KIA sedona. And when driving it sounds like it has a turbo. It also has no umph.instead it loses power going up hill. while the turbo sound it hesitate to shift gear.

Yours should be a 2.9 crd Turbo diesel if I'm correct & from what your describing sounds like you need to change out the diesel filter. These filters get clogged causing lack of power specially going up hill.
Is it blowing out black smoke? There could be other problems as well. Need more info like is the engine light on?

Ford festa 2005 desiel losing power when driving

Run a diagnostic check, if she's 1.4tdci it can be various things like EGR, Air Mass Sensor etc. Is there black smoke coming out of it? Check Turbo.

2005 ford F350 6.0 diesel will not build power nor turbo power. Misses and losing coolent. will the egr cooler make it act this way

Sounds like a head gasket leak on the intake side or intake gasket. Your boost is leaking out and coolant is leaking into the cylinder. Get a bulletproof kit. It is well worth the money

2005 Ford F250 6.0 turbo diesel blows black smoke out exhaust and has no power when I try to excellerate.

1. check charge air tube, loosing boost pressure=low power and black smoke
2. check for air filter restriction,if it cant breathe it will blow smoke and run like ****
3. check for rotational drag on the turbo compressor wheel, it may be locking up causing low power and black smoke, much like cummins vgt turbo
4.oil quality, poor oil quality, ie long intervals between oil changes.
5. may have a leaking injector, not common with this style of injector but i wouldnt rule it out if nothing else checks out.....hope this helps.

MY 94 rodeo 2.8lt turbo diesel blows lots of smoke when the throttle is down.. When i lift the foot of it stops smoking.. can you help..

if its black smoke and id say it is being a deisel it can be injectors or just simply fuel pump timing. get it to a deisel specialist to check the pump timing and your fuel load under acceleration, only real way to get it sorted.

2005 transit loud turbo,no power especially on inclines, puffing black smoke from exhaust

The black smoke is blow-by you need a ring job. Oil is getting by the top ring of your pistons in one or more cylinders. Loss of power under a load is also indicative of this.
