Which end of the fuel filter goes in first on 1973 chevy nova 6 cylinder 250 cid engine

The filter should have an arrow on it. That is the direction the fuel flows. The arrow should point to the direction of your carburetor.

Ill turn the car on for 1 minute then turn it off then put a cup at the end of the tail pipe it will fill it up

The air fuel fuel mixture goes to the cylinder and get spark from the plugs to get the explosion to give compression. If you are getting that much unspent fuel, then you would have a problem with the fuel injection. I would make certain if the cup has gasoline in it and not a water mixture. That would be a different problem. The fuel mixture is not something you should try to do without the proper tools.

2002 ford taurus, injectors work properly but gas goes by one injector into cylinder

When you say ,,, gas goes by one injector..... this means to me that a cylinder is getting flooded with gas. If this is true.... and you know for a fact that the injectors is good.... the problem has to be electrical. The injectors have power all the time and the PCM grounds the injectors to turn them on. If in fact the injectors are good and gas is still getting into the cylinder then there can only be 2 things that cause this... one... the PCM is defective and keeping the injector on ..on that cylinder... or two... the ground wire to the injector is shorted to ground somewhere. These are the only two things that will cause the injector to stay on. Be sure the injector is good !!

Gas in oil

It is caused by to much fuel washing down the cylinder. Could be caused by injector stuck open, low compression on cylinders, or weak ignition system. I would put new plugs in and run it. See what one or ones end up extremely black or end up wet with fuel. This will help to narrow down the problem.

My 96 chrysler lhs has a knocking/rattleing sound coming from the bottom engine and as you push down on the gas the faster you drive the louder it rattles

if the noise is coming from the bottom end of the motor then you have either bad connecting rod bearings or bad crank bearings.if when you snap the throttle you hear a double knock then its connecting rod bearing if not then its crank bearing.a collapsed piston can sound low in the engine and its usually a dull knock noise.if you have the engine running and the noise is there and you pull off one plug wire at a time(and reconnect it after checking) and the noise goes away or mostly goes away with the wire unhooked then the cylinder that the noise changed is the cylinder that has a bad piston.

I hv a Honda accord 94. It was running great but yesterday it start creating problem. Wen I try to push gas pedal it start missing n rpm needle goes upto 5000. I thought it could be coz of spark plugs so...

Looks like some engine oil goes into the cylinder and contaminate your spark plug, thus making your plugs miss.
Look where that oil damp spark plug located at cylinder number, in that cylinder the valve seal is to be replace immediately. Valve seal is located on top of the engine that seals the intake/exhaust valve and valve guide, from oil going in the cylinder.
You could ask your mechanic to do the job, it is a bit hard to replace it. the parts needed coat just under $5.
Hope that helps you out!
Thanks for using Fixya!

it's to tell the body module you have the key in the cylinder, and a chime would ring. the wire went to a plastic piece on the end of the housing where the cylinder goes might be broke could try to solder it.

check the sparkplug and wire for that cylinder first.if the plug smells like gas replace both.if the ceamic part is any other color besides white or tan,(black and sooty{too much fuel},shiney brown{detonation},black and oily{bad valve guide or rings) hope it's just a broken or burnt plug wire. good luck!
