Question about 2004 Toyota Sienna
In order to either open or shut the door, I have to pull on the handle (inside or outside) for an extra split second. When I use either button in the car or if I only yank on the handle quickly, the door starts like it will go but then does not. It is definitely not anything in the track because we have cleaned it out and also because the door will go just fine when I hold the handle for that extra split second - it will go after making two audible little clicks without any help from me. It does not go if it only makes one click (either button or short pull of handle). We believe it must be something electronic since it works fine if the handle is held for that extra split second. Any ideas?
You may have to have the ECM rerogrammed with whats called a flash update. Its basically a software fix for the door controller. nContact your local dealership to see if an update may be needed and available. This is a procedure that can only be done by a dealership.
