What do you need to know? Positive to positive neg to neg. ON the Grand prix it is hard to get to the terminals on the battery. Hook the positive clamp to the postive bolt covered with the red plastic cover near the battery. Neg to the metal part of the engine.

Need to charge and battery is under the back seat, are there terminels under the hood to hookup to

there is a power center (referred to as the 'power distribution center) under the hood, it has a plastic cover-there is one large cable at the top. bolted to a stud-that is your main power feed from the battery to the power distribution box. Connect the positive charger cable there.

Were is negative. Battery post

The negative battery cable is black and the positive battery cable is red.
The positive battery cable will lead to the starter while the negative battery cable will connect to the body of the car which is negatively grounded.

Always remove the neg. battery cable first, and then the pos. battery cable second. And install in the opposite direction, pos. battery cable first, and then finally the neg. battery cable to the battery.

Also, many batteries have the (+) and (-) posts labeled in an embossed fashion on the plastic case.

Do not reverse, or else the vehicle's electronics can be fried.

Good luck on this repair.

While installing a new battery I touched the distributor cover and the positive terminal with my wrench. I can't find any blown fuses but I have no power to my ignition, headlights, or anything else. What...

i think your problem is at the battery terminals especially with the headlights. on the positive side should have several wires connecting to post check them.

98 olds intrigue needs new battery. How do you

The red plastic cover should just pop off, then you will see the head of the terminal bolt. you'll need to remove the braket holding the battery in place, just remember to replace it to hold the new battery still.

Need to charge battery on my chevy venture. Please show me how

Okay... One can not see the negative battery terminal so.... Connect the negative clip from your charger to the chassis and then remove the RED plastic cover in front of the black relay box above the battery OR the plastic cover from the positive battery terminal and connect the positive cable. Make sure you have good connections by watching the meter on your charger. Then plug in the charger and turn it on. Charge time depends on the strength of your charger. I'm going to go hook mine up again because I need to go out for a bit. I don't think I'm going to like changing this battery..... Just thought I'd share..... Good luck.
