What thermal fuse do i need for an 800 watt 10amp food dehdrater? heater quit working.

An 800 watt appliance consumes just over three amps with maybe a surge on switch-on but a thermal fuse isn't primarily rated in amps but in degrees (temperature).
The temperature of the replacement fuse should be identical to the original - usually marked on the body. If the original marking has disappeared you will need to use an educated guess or draw on the experience of an appliance engineer if the appliance specifications aren't available.

Can i run the heat fuse machine off a generator ?

Watts divided by volts gives you amps.

Example: 3,600 watt generator and it is a 120 volt generator, then it will give you 30 amps. A motor will require additional amps to get it to start.

I have a100 amp alternator and putting 4-130 watt off road lights and the vehicle on it 98 Chevy blazer

Do the maths and talk to an accredited auto electrician but I am sure that the alternator will be too small for what you want to do
the formula is I(amps)= P(watts) divided by volts
4 lights at 130 watts each =520 watts divided by 12 volts =43.3
amps extra for the alternator to handle. AS most alternators currently run at 90% capacity with normal vehicle operations you will need a bigger alternator. I would consider using a band of LED lights as they have more light than the 130 watts will provide and use just a few amps thereby not requiring a new alternator. Do your home work .the price of a new alternator and wiring ,relays etc against the LED lights. More light , lighter bracketry and no relays.

My stereo in 1997 chevy caviler is turning off and on when turned up to a high volume. I have a sony xplod 52 watt by 4 channel radio. With two 6x9 sony xplod 50 watt rms and 300 watt peak power in the...

Most likely cause is heat. The clearances behind the radio are often not sufficient to provde the proper air coolling that the higher power radios need. The heat sinks on the rear of the radio require a certain amount of air flow to dissipate the heat generated under high load conditions. If you add summer heat to the equation, you can have the radio going into thermal cutout to protect it circuity.

Where is the fuse box located on this make and modle car

Start by checking under the driver's side kick panel, or under the hood on the driver's side.

Fuse boxes can be located in a number of different places, depending on the model.

To remove a fuse:
  • With glass cartridge or blade-type fuses, a special fuse removing tool can be used to remove a bad fuse.
  • Blade-type fuses are easy to remove by hand or with a needle nose pliers.
To replace a fuse:
  • Be sure to replace a fuse with the correct one for the application.
  • SFE (Society of Fuse Engineers) and all-glass cartridge (sometimes called "Bussman" or "Buss") fuses will interchange with one another, so care is required.
  • Be sure that the fuse is the correct rating. Too low an amp rating will result in burned fuses. Too high a rating can cause a fire.
  • Check the end of the fuse for its amp rating. The correct amp rating of the fuse to be used is listed on the fuse block.
  • Fuses are generally numbered, and the main components abbreviated.
f14-36.jpg Typical fuse box or panel.
  • On late-model cars, there may be icons or symbols indicating which circuits they serve. This identification system is covered in more detail in the owner's and service manuals.
To calculate the correct fuse rating, use Watt's law: watts ÷ volts = amperes. For example, if you are installing a pair of 55-watt fog lights, divide 55 by the battery voltage (12 volts) to find out how much current the circuit has to carry. Since 55 ÷ 12 = 4.58, the current is approximately 5 amperes. To allow for current surges, the correct in-line fuse should be rated slightly higher than the normal current flow. In this case, an 8- or 10-ampere fuse would do the job. NOTE
It's advisable to carry an assortment of spare fuses in the glove compartment. It is difficult to know when one will blow. Also, you should learn borrow a fuse from a less critical circuit. For example, it is possible to do without power for the radio or air conditioner, if a fuse is needed for the headlights or brake lights. Make certain, however, that the fuse borrowed and later replaced has the same current rating. Remember that a blown fuse was caused by something going wrong. Replacing the fuse may or may not give a temporary solution to the problem.

I want to know what are these for to use Fuse 32 and 46

A fuse shows the watt and amp rateing on
top most of the time. You would have 32 amp
witch is odd so it maybe 32 watts
the same with the 46.
But my gut say amp on both maybe this will
get you started.
