Have the front end/steering gear checked for worn parts is the first thing to do.

Where is my fuse box on 97 catera

The main fuse box is on the left side under the steering wheel behind the knee panel. A secondary fuse location is under the hood on the driver's side. You can download a free owner's manual for your car from the link provided when you click the underlined text here.

Car: 2000 Cadillac Catera Radio: Bose Info: Power goes off to radio, fuel door and trunk release. Seems to happen randomly. Any thoughts?

K134 Multifunction relay is on the driver side, inside the dash above the driver's left ankle (area). (2) panels need to be removed below the steering column to access this area. The first is a panel that matches your dash. The second is a cardboard panel with foam padding on it that encompasses the arms holding the brake pedal and accelerator. You'll then need to lay on your back on the floor board, head in first. Look for a gray box about 3" square by 1 1/2" thick. Push it 'up' off of it's mounting bracket to release. Unplug the wiring harness. Plug in new relay and re-mount.

it's behind the soft panel right below your steering wheel.

Cant find fuse boxes

There are 2 screws which hold the large panel right under the steering column. They use a large flat head screwdriver and are 1/4 turn. They are right on the bottom edge of this padded panel. The panel, which your knees should almost touch when sitting in the driver's seat, needs to be lifted up (slide it) after removing the screws as it is keyhole pinned.
The fuses are under there....there are more next to the battery as well.

My brake lights are not working

the bcm is mounted on the right A pillar behind the trim.

I would suggest that's behind the kick panel on the passenger side

The brake lights do not work checked the fuses and all ok. Where do I look next.

If you take off the panels under the steering wheel (where the fuses are located) there will be an other black panel that needs to be taken off. Once both of those are off you will have to follow the brake peddal up and you will see two little push button switches call (brake light switch) your problem is one of those they can be replaced for around $20. hope this helps.
