Locked keys inside trunk

Hi Damon:
Here's some ideas.
1) Is there a spare key anywhere?
2) If you get the VIN # from inside the windshield, can a dealer give you a key code so that you can get one cut?
3) Check with a locksmith to see if they can "pick" the lock.
4) If the car is not locked, can you remove the back seat to get into the trunk?

I am replacing my factory air intake with a K&N kit on a 2010 Dodge Challenger 5.7l and haveing difficulties removing it from the fsctory intake tube. Is there atrick to this removal?

Some times the factory rubber tube gets "glued" to the intake plenum with coatings put on at the factory. If the clamp is loose enough then just use a small flat head screwdriver to gently pry the edges of the rubber hose and twist to break the seal.

Both front carpet areas are wet. Cleaned sunroof drains...to learn they were not the problem. Now I have the entire front compartment torn out (except for the plasic cowling w/ foam noise pads) I have...

Since it is both sides, I would be suspect the seal at the bottom of the windshield-remove the wiper cowl and maybe even the wiper assembly to see if a rubber seal has moved or been dislodged-look at all the seals around the windshield itself too, you may need to remove the molding to inspect it. A good body repair shop will find this problem pretty fast.

I have a 2001 F250 Super Duty and it's doing the same thing. Blower motor will run when key is off. Speedometer does't work, overdrive light flashes

Had the same exact issues with my 2000 Diesel. Windshield seal was no good, water was getting to electronics. I replaced the windshield and all the problems stopped.

Good Luck

I have a water leak when it rains that comes thruogh the dash. Is this common and What is the fix?

Sounds like the seal around the windshield is letting the water in the van. You may need to replace the seal around the windshield. Take the van to a windshield replacement center and have it inspected for leaks. Hope this will help you.

Chuck943 do i need to have the windshield removed by a pro to to correct the water leakage around the windshield,or is it a task that i can handle /The floorboard below the fusebox is also wet.

If you have access to air compressor get some foam window cleaner and spray it all around the outside of windshield on drivers side. Then on the inside of windshield shoot some air there and see if you can tell where the leak is. If it is not to bad you maybe able to seal it with some windshield sealer. How ever most of the time to fix it correctly windshield does have to be removed.
