2006, XK same setup as WK (i own one)
no job stated.
why not say how you got here, to this point
what are you timing, this engine uses coil packs
you don't do timing, for spark.

my guess is cam timing, you left off the key word CAM.(s)
the book is free to read, at any time,
its free of cost, and is not a clone book its the real book
and the engine chapter is 100% there, if you just look
posted 300+ times. here we go again
click WK jeep and see engine chapter 9 page 1198 (left head off)

that is free advice, I gain nothing telling you this....

What is a knock sensor in my 2006 jeep commander with the hemi?

the knock sensor is a sensor that detects any abnormal engine knocking/ pinging, (pre-detonation) caused by low octane fuel or lean air/fuel mixtures. When it detects a pre-detonation knock it sends this information to the PCM and the PCM will normally ****** the ignition timing to prevent damage to the engine. However if it is detecting a knock from say bad bearings it can ****** the timing all it wants and it will not help anything. At this point you have a mechanical failure.
