Truck is missing

I have a 2004 Lincoln Aviator and I just had the oil changed about two weeks ago. I noticed this am when I got to about 40mph the truck starts missing. Could this possibly mean I need a tune up? I bought the truck used and have had it now for about two months it has 72k miles on it. Thanks :)

Thanks for all the solutions. I took the truck to the Ford dealer over the weekend and yes there are some faulty coils that were covered under warranty but I was not expecting the news I got when they said I needed a new motor, there were several head gaskets that needed to be replaced. So I took it back to the dealer where I got the truck to try to get out of this loan and into another truck..

THE PROBLEM SOUNDS LIKE THE COIL PACKS, THERE IS ONE FOR EVERY CYLINDER, LINCOLN WILL REPLACE THEM FREE I THINK UP TO 150,000 MILES. THEY WILL ONLY REPLACE FAULTY COIL(S).

Yes. Most tune ups are performed around 7500. Its also possible you have a bad coil or injector if the tune up was already performed. Sometimes you will get a defective spark plug that works for awhile then start misfireing. Sometimes these engines will develop a coolant leak on one spark plug. You will notice this when the plugs are changed

Just had an oil change in my Lincoln Aviator and it still shows Oil Change Required

After an oil change you have to reset the sensor. Your mechanic should have known this. You turn the key on and push button for three seconds to reset it. This should be in the fuse box under the hood goodluck. I hope this helps

Just purchase a 2004 lincoln aviator and notice it has a crack on the rear hatch. Can i get a lincoln dealership to repair it as a recall

Probably not as the original warranty is out of date. Usually anything covered bumper to bumper is only 3yrs/36,000 miles wcf.

Rough idle and engine light is on my 2003 aviator 4.6 engine

If there is an Auto Zone around your area, have the truck scanned for the DTC codes which is causing your idle problem. There are to many things that can cause your trucks idle to be rough. Once you have it scanned, we can address the issue and have your truck running 100% again. Auto Zone scan free of charge and can give you the step by step instructions to repairing and replacing the parts needed. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.
